Abstrak Bahasa Indonesia ABSTRAK PENGARUH PEMBERIAN EKSTRAK DAUN SIRSAK ( Annona muricata.L ) TERHADAP KADAR ASAM SIALAT PADA JARINGAN HATI TIKUS YANG DIINDUKSI SENYAWA 7,12 - DIMETHYLBENZ[A]ANTHRACENE (DMBA) Oleh BERTA YOLANDA SELVIANA Latar belakang : Kanker merupakan proses proliferasi sel - sel didalam tubuh yang tidak terkendali. Kanker hati meru pakan masalah kesehatan global, di negara berkembang termasuk Indonesia. 696.000 penderita kanker hati meninggal setiap tahun. Annona Muricata L adalah salah satu bahan alami y ang memiliki kandungan antioksidan dan antikanker pada bagian daunnya . Metode: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak daun sirsak ( Annona muricata L. ) terhadap ka dar a sam sialat tikus yang diinduksi DMBA. Desain penelitian ini adalah eksperimental dengan 4 kelompok perlakuan, masing - masing kelompok terdiri dari 5 ekor tikus Sprague Dawley. Kelompok 1( - ) (kontrol negatif) diberikan aquadest 1 ml/hari; kelompok 2(+) (kontrol positif) diberikan DMBA 2x20 mg/kgBB/ minggu dan aquades t 1ml/hari ; kelompok P1 (perlakuan 1) diberikan DMBA 2x20 mg/kgBB/ minggu + ekst rak daun sirsak 20 mg/kgBB/hari dan kelompok P2 (perlakuan 2) diberikan DMBA 2x20 mg/kgBB/ minggu + ekstrak daun sirsak 40 mg/kgBB/hari. Pemeriksaan asam sialat ini menggunakan Metode Warren. Hasil penelitian: Secara Statistik terdapat perbedaan b ermakna pada uji One - way ANOVA (p<0,05) dan uji Post Hoc LSD (p<0,05). Hasil uji tersebut memperlihatkan bahwa ekstrak daun sirsak dapat menurunkan kadar asam sialat pada jaringan hati tikus yang diinduksi DMBA. Kata kunci : Asam Sialat , Da un sirsak, DMBA, Ekstrak . Abstract Bahasa Inggris ABSTRACT EFFECTS OF SOURSOP LEA VES ( Annona Muricata L. ) EXTRACT TO SIALIC ACID LEVELS OF LIVER TISSUE IN FEMALE SPRAGUE - DAWLEY RATS INDUCED BY 7,12 - DIMETHYLBENZ[A]ANTHRACENE (DMBA) By BERTA YOLANDA SELVIANA Background : Cancer i s incontrollable proliferation of cell in our body. Liver cancer is one of global h ealth problem, in the developing coun tries including Indonesia. 696,000 people died of liver cancer eve ry year. Annona Muricata L is natural m aterials which contains antioxida nt and anticancer in its leaves. Methods : This study aimed to determine the effect of leaf extract of soursop ( Annona muricata L. ) against sialic acid levels of DMBA - induced mice. This researc h is an experimental design consist of 4 treatment groups, each group consisting of 5 Sprague Dawley rats. Group 1 ( - ) (negative control) was given 1ml/day of distilled water ; group 2 (+) (positive control) was given DMBA 2x20 mg/kg/ week and water 1ml/day ; group P 1 ( treatment 1) given DMBA 2x20 mg/kg/ week + soursop leaf extract 20 mg/kg/ day; and group P2 ( treatment 2) given DMBA 2x20 mg/kg/ we ek + soursop leaf extract 40 mg/kg/ day. The sialic acid probes using warren method. Result : statistically significant differences tested by One - Way ANOVA (p<0,05) and Post Hoc LSD (p<0,05). The result test showed that soursop leaf extract can reduce levels of sialic acid on rat liver tissue that was induced by DMBA. Keywords : DMBA, Extract, Sialic Acid, Soursop leaves.
