ABSTRAK TINGKAT PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT DALAM PENGELOLAAN HUTAN TERHADAP NILAI STATUS KESEHATAN HUTAN KEMASYARAKATAN (Studi Kasus: Gapoktan Harapan Sentosa KPH Batu Tegi) oleh LIS NUR AJIJAH Masyarakat di sekitar kawasan hutan memiliki peran penting dalam keberlanjutan hutan lindung di KPHL Batutegi. Namun, dalam pelaksanaan pengelolaan hutan masyarakat masih belum memperhatikan kondisi kesehatan hutan. Sehingga diperlukan kegiatan penilaian kesehatan hutan untuk mengetahui kondisi hutan yang berada di lokasi tersebut. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu untuk mengukur tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengelolaan hutan, untuk mendapatkan nilai status kesehatan hutan serta untuk mengukur pengaruh tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengelolaan hutan terhadap nilai status kesehatan hutan di HKm Harapan Sentosa KPHL Batutegi. Tahapan yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini yaitu penumpulan data tingkat partisipasi masyarakat menggunakan kuisioner dengan penentuan responden melalui teknik purposive sampling dengan menggunakan key actors. Penilaian nilai status kesehatan hutan dilakukan menggunakan teknik Forest Health Monitoring (FHM) dengan jumlah klaster plot sebanyak 3 klaster plot yang ditentukan berdasarkan perspektik pengelolaan. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, tingkat partisipasi masyarakat terdiri dari tiga kategori yaitu rendah (10,53%), sedang (50%) dan tinggi (39,47%). Tinggi rendahnya tingkat partisipasi terjadi karena masyarakat belum seluruhnya berpartisipasi aktif dalam setiap kegiatan pengelolaan hutan. Nilai status kesehatan hutan kemasyarakatan berada pada interval skor 3,50-10,49 dengan rata-rata 7,00 (sedang). Partisipasi masyarakat berpengaruh terhadap nilai status kesehatan hutan dengan tahap pengelolaan yang memiliki nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,022% yaitu tahap perencanaan, sedangkan untuk tahap pengelolaan yang lain tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap nilai status kesehatan hutan. Sehingga diperlukan peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat serta melakukan pemantauan kesehatan hutan secara berkala. Hal ini akan memudahkan dalam penentuan tindakan untuk keberlanjutan hutan. This study aims to measure the level of community participation in forest management, to obtain the value of forest health status and to measure the effect of the level of community participation in forest management on the value of forest health status in HKm Harapan Sentosa KPHL Batutegi. The stages carried out in this research are collecting data on the level of community participation using a questionnaire with the determination of respondents through purposive sampling technique using key actors. Assessment of the value of forest health status was carried out using the Forest Health Monitoring (FHM) technique with a total of 3 cluster plots which were determined based on a management perspective. Data analysis in this study used multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the level of community participation consisted of three categories, namely low (10,53%), moderate (50%) and high (39,47%). The high and low level of participation occurs because the community has not yet actively participated in every forest management activity. The value of community forest health status is in the interval score of 3,50-10,49 with an average of 7,00 (medium). Community participation has an effect on the value of forest health status with the management stage having a significance value of 0,022%, namely the planning stage, while for the other management stages it does not significantly affect the value of forest health status. So that it is necessary to increase community participation and conduct regular forest health monitoring. This will make it easier to determine actions for forest sustainability.
