Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
ABSTRAK Daun sambung nyawa (Gynura procumbens) banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat Indonesia sebagai tanaman herbal. Tanaman ini digunakan untuk pencegahan kanker maupun obat herbal pendamping kemoterapi sehingga dapat mempercepat penyembuhan dan meminimalisir efek samping dari kemoterapi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah peningkatan dosis ekstrak etanol daun sambung nyawa (Gynura procumbens) dapat menyebabkan perubahan pada gambaran histopatologi ginjal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dan sampel diambil secara acak terkontrol. 25 tikus yang dugunakan kemudian dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok dan diberi perlakuan selama 14 hari. Kelompok 1 (KI) merupakan kelompok kontrol negatif dengan pemberian akuades, dan kelompok 2, 3, 4, dan 5 merupakan kelompok perlakuan dengan dosis ekstrak masing–masing 500 mg/kgBB, 1000 mg/kgBB, 1500 mg/kgBB, dan 2000 mg/kgBB. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rerata skor kerusakan ginjal pada K1 3,50±0,577; K2 3,80±0,837; K3 3,40±0,548; K4 5,60±0,548; K5 5,50±1,000. Hasil uji Kruskal Wallis didapatkan p=0,005. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pemberian perlakuan terhadap gambaran kerusakan ginjal tikus pada minimal 2 kelompok. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji Post Hoc Mann-Whitney didapatkan hasil perbedaan signifikan (p<0,05) antara kelompok 1 (K1) dengan kelompok 4 dan 5. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun sambung nyawa dapat menimbulkan kerusakan gambaran histopatologis ginjal tikus putih galur Sprague dawley pada peningkatan dosis diatas 1500 mg/kgBB hingga 2000 mg/kgBB. Kata Kunci: daun sambung nyawa, histopatologi ginjal, uji toksisitas, kemoterapi. ABSTRACT Sambung nyawa leaf used by Indonesian as a herbal drug. This leaf used as prevention or as co-chemotherapy so the side effect of chemical drugs that used during chemotherapy can be minimalizied and made the healing process faster. This study suggested whether sambung nyawa leaf has side effect which could damage renal histopatological structure in rats. This study used experimental method which samples used randomized controlled design. 25 rats were broadly divided into 5 groups and treated for 14 days. First goup (KI) was a negative control group which aquadest given as treatment, and the rest of it (2 nd, 3 rd, 4 th, and 5 th group) were treated with ethanol extract of sambung nyawa’s leaf with each dose 500 mg/kg body weight, 1000 mg/kg body weight, 1500 mg/kg body weight, 2000 mg/kg body weight. The result of this study showed the mean score of renal’s damage were K1 3,50±0,577; K2 3,80±0,837; K3 3,40±0,548; K4 5,60±0,548; K5 5,50±1,000. Result of Kruskal Wallis test obtained p value=0,005. It means that there was an effect of ethanol extract of sambung nyawa leaf on histopathological analysis on 2 groups minimal. Next test was Post Hoc Mann-Whitney test and showed that there were significant differencies between first group as negative control group and 4 th and 5 th group. This result showed that increasing the dose until 1500 mg/kg body weight and 2000 mg/kg body weight of ethanol extract sambung nyawa leaf could damage renal’s histopathological stucture of Sprague dawley rats Key words: chemotherapy, renal’s histopathological structure, sambung nyawa’s leaf, toxicity test.
