Perang saudara yang terjadi di Central African Republic (CAR) berdampak negatif, khususnya perempuan dan anak sebagai korban. Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission In The Central African Republic (MINUSCA) menjadi salah satu misi penjaga perdamaian yang fokus mandatnya untuk mengatasi dan meningkatkan partisipasi perempuan di wilayah konflik. Selama 8 tahun keberadaan misi ini, sorotan utama atas hal-hal yang berkenaan dengan konflik dalam hal ini perempuan memunculkan re-focusing¬ pada pengarusutamaan gender sebagai usaha untuk meminimalisir risiko yang lebih besar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengeksplorasi peran gender adviser MINUSCA dalam penanganan gender mainstreaming dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, pengumpulan data dihimpun melalui studi pustaka berupa dokumen, buku, artikel dan publikasi. Penggunaan konsep dan teori peacekeeping operations digunakan untuk alat analisis peran yang dilaksanakan gender adviser dalam menangani permasalahan tersebut. Konflik CAR memerlukan perhatian khusus, dikarenakan peran mempromosikan, memfasilitasi, mendukung dan kerja sama belum terlaksana secara penuh di masa kepemimpinan Kapten Marcia Braga. Oleh karena itu, pada peran mendukung dan kerja sama harus ditinjau kembali agar dapat mengefisiensi rencana kerja yang ditetapkan. Kata Kunci: Gender Adviser, Gender Mainstreaming The civil war that occurred in the Central African Republic (CAR) had a negative impact, especially women and children as victims. The Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission In The Central African Republic (MINUSCA) is one of the peacekeeping missions whose mandate focuses on addressing and increasing women's participation in conflict areas. During the 8 years of this mission's existence, the main focus on matters relating to conflict, in this case women, has led to a re-focusing on gender mainstreaming as an effort to minimize greater risks. The purpose of this study was to explore the role of MINUSCA's gender advisers in handling gender mainstreaming with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was collected through literature studies in the form of documents, books, articles and publications. The use of concepts and theories of peacekeeping operations is used as a role analysis tool implemented by gender advisers in dealing with these problems. The CAR conflict requires special attention, because the roles of promoting, facilitating, supporting and collaborating have not been fully implemented during the leadership of Captain Marcia Braga. Therefore, the role of support and cooperation must be reviewed in order to make the work plan efficient. Keywords: Gender Adviser, Gender Mainstreaming
