Abstrak

indonesia Perkembangan teknologi otomotif bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kinerja mesin. Teknologi tabung induksi YEIS (Yamaha Energy Induction System) terbukti dapat meningkat kinerja sepeda motor tersebut, yaitu meningkatnya akselerasi dan top speed serta konsumsi bahan bakar dari sepeda motor Yamaha RX King menjadi lebih hemat. Oleh karena itu, pemakaian tabung induksi pada sepeda motor 4 langkah diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi volumetrik pada proses langkah hisap, sehingga dapat meningkatkan tenaga mesin pada putaran rendah yang tentunya akan berpengaruh langsung pada peningkatan akselerasi sepeda motor pada putaran rendah. Pengujian penggunaan tabung induksi pada sepeda motor bensin 4 langkah perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi posisi pemasangan tabung induksi terhadap prestasi, dan emisi gas buang. Pengujian konsumsi bahan bakar dilakukan pada kecepatan rata-rata 40 km/jam, akselerasi 0-80 km/jam dan 80-100 km/jam) dan stasioner dengan variasi putaran mesin 2000 rpm, 4000 rpm dan 6000 rpm. Pemasangan tabung induksi pada intake manifold divariasi, yaitu JS 150 (15 mm), JS 375 (37,5 mm) dan JS 600 (60 mm). Sedangkan pada pengujian emisi gas buang hanya dilakukan pada JS 150 dengan varisi putaran mesin yang sama dengan pengujian stasioner. Setiap jenis pengujian dilakukan sebanyak 3 kali. Dari hasil pengujian, didapat bahwa penghematan konsumsi bahan bakar sepeda motor 4 langkah terbesar terjadi sebesar 27,8% pada pemasangan JS150. Peningkatan akselerasi terbesar adalah 5,7%(pada 0-80 km/jam), dan 23,03% (80-100 km/jam), juga pada penggunaan JS 150. Pemasangan JS 150 juga mampu mereduksi emisi gas CO sebesar 24,86 % pada uji stasioner putaran 2000 rpm. Hasil terbaik terjadi pada pemasangan JS 150. JS 150 merupakan posisi paling optimal karena berada paling dekat dengan intake manifold (15 mm) dan paling jauh dari karburator (60 mm). Oleh karena itu, pada posisi JS 150 sisa campuran udara dan bahan bakar dapat sepenuhnya masuk ke dalam saluran dan tabung dari tabung induksi. Sebaliknya, JS 600 merupakan posisi terjauh dari intake manifold dan paling dekat dengan karburator, sehingga sisa campuran udara dan bahan bakar tidak dapat sepenuhnya masuk ke dalam saluran dan tabung induksi, melainkan terbagi dua, yaitu ke karburator dan ke tabung induksi, seperti yang terjadi pada aliran pipa bercabang. YEIS tube (Yamaha Energy Induction System) has been able to enhance the performance of the motorcycle, namely increased acceleration and top speed and saved fuel consumption of Yamaha RX King. Therefore, the use of induction tube on a 4-stroke motorcycle is expected to be able to increase the volumetric efficiency of the suction stroke, so that the power (acceleration) of the engine can increase at low speed at low speed. Tests of using induction tube in a 4-stroke motorcycle is required to observe the effect of the induction tube position on its performance and emission. The tests were carried out in two stages, namely engine performance and exhaust emission tests. The engine performance tests were carried out in road tests (fuel consumption test at an average speed of 40 kph, acceleration of 0-80 kph and 80-100 kph) and stationary tests with the engine speed variations 2000 rpm, 4000 rpm and 6000 rpm. The induction tube mountings on intake manifold were varied at positions of JS150 (15 mm from intake manifold), JS 375 (37,5 mm), and JS600 (600 mm). Whereas at the exhaust emission tests, the tests were only carried out at JS 150 with the same conditions of stationary tests. Each type of test were performed for 3 times. From the results, it was found that the fuel consumption of the motorcycle could maximally reduce by 27.8% in mounting JS 150. The highest increase of acceleration were 5.7% (at 0-80 kph) and 23.03% (at 80-100 kph) occurred also in mounting JS 150. Mounting of JS 150 could also reduce CO gas as big as 24.86% in stationary test (at 2000 rpm). The best result occurred in mounting of JS150 for all tests. JS150 is the optimal position. This due to JS 150 is the closest position from intake manifold and the farthest position from carburetor. Therefore, at mounting of JS 150, residual air and fuel mixture can be fully drawn into both the line and tube of the induction tube. In contrast, JS 600 is the farthest position from intake manifold, so that the residual air and fuel mixture cannot fully be drawn into the line and tube of the induction tube, the mixture is partially drawn into carburetor and induction tube, as in branched pipe system.
