ABSTRAK KEANEKARAGAMAN HERPETOFAUNA (ORDO SQUAMATA) DAN STATUS KONSERVASINYA DI OBJEK WISATA ALAM TALANG INDAH KABUPATEN PRINGSEWU Oleh YUDA ADI PRATAMA Ordo Squamata menjadi kelompok reptil terbesar dengan jumlah jenis terbanyak dibandingkan dengan ordo lainnya. Kelompok hewan yang termasuk anggota ordo ini adalah kadal dan ular. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman herpetofauna (ordo Squamata) di Objek Wisata Alam Talang Indah Kabupaten Pringsewu. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Juni sampai dengan Juli 2022. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada pagi dan malam hari menggunakan metode visual encounter survey (VES) dengan kombinasi time search. Setiap lokasi pengamatan dilakukan empat kali pengulangan dengan waktu lima jam untuk setiap pengamatan. Data yang didapat dianalisis dengan menggunakan indeks keanekaragaman jenis, indeks kemerataan jenis, dan indeks kesamaan komunitas. Nilai Indeks keanekaragaman pada habitat hutan kota sebesar 1,887, sawah 1,687, dan sungai 1,867 yang menunjukkan bahwa keanekaragaman ordo Squamata di wilayah tersebut dalam kategori sedang. Nilai indeks kemerataan pada habitat hutan kota sebesar 0,697, sawah 0,862, dan sungai 0,85 yang menunjukkan bahwa komunitas di wilayah tersebut dalam kategori labil dan stabil. Nilai indeks kesamaan yang diperoleh termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Reptil yang ditemukan merupakan predator puncak yang terdapat di Objek Wisata Alam Talang Indah Kabupaten Pringsewu. Kata kunci: keanekaragaman, ordo Squamata, reptil, Objek Wisata Alam Talang Indah Ordo Squamata is the largest reptile group with the highest number of species compared to other ordos. Animal groups that belong to this ordo are lizards and snakes. This research was conducted to determine the diversity of herpetofauna (ordo Squamata) in the Talang Indah Natural Tourism Object, Pringsewu Regency. This research was conducted from June to July 2022. Data collection was carried out in the morning and evening using the visual encounter survey (VES) method with a combination of time search. Each observation location was repeated four times with a time of five hours for each observation. The data obtained were analyzed using the species diversity index, species evenness index, and community similarity index. The value of the diversity index in urban forest habitats is 1.887, rice fields 1.687, and rivers 1.867 which indicates that the diversity of the ordo Squamata in the area is in the moderate category. The evenness index value in urban forest habitat is 0.697, rice fields are 0.862, and rivers are 0.85 which indicates that the community in the area is in the unstable and stable category. The similarity index value obtained is included in the high category. The reptiles found were the top predators found in the Talang Indah Nature Object, Pringsewu Regency.
