Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

The objective of this research was to investigate if there was any improvement of students’ writing ability after the implementation of a short animated story in the first grade of SMAN 1 Natar. The sample of this research was X1, which consisted of 21 students. The data were obtained through a pre-test and post-test and the results were analyzed by using Paired Sample T-Test. The finding of Paired Sample T-Test revealed that there was a significant improvement in students writing narrative text after the implementation of a short animated story. The results of the research showed that the average post-test score(66.07) was higher than the pre-test (55.36), it increased by 10.7. It means there was a significant improvement in students’ writing ability in narrative text. From the result, It could be concluded that using short animated stories is effective for teaching writing narrative text. Keywords: Animated Story, Writing, Improvement.
