Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Film merupakan media komunikasi penyaluran ide kreatif para insan perfilman di dunia. Selain mengandung nilai seni, film juga membawa nilai informatif, persuasif, dan hiburan. Mr. Queen merupakan drama Korea rilis pada tahun 2021 yang mengkisahkan body swap atau pertukaran jiwa. Melalui penelitian ini, peneliti bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konstruksi Gender melalui tanda – tanda sinematografi pada karakter Kim So-yong. Dalam melakukan analisis konstruksi gender, peneliti menggunakan teori semiotika model Roland Barthes untuk memunculkan makna serta teori Queer untuk menjelaskan konstruksi gender yang ada dalam drama. Hasil penelitian yang dapat disimpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah pada tataran konotasi, karakter So Yong dalam bersikap dan berpikir berasal dari perspektif Bong Hwan sebagai laki-laki. Sedangkan berdasarkan makna konotasi yang ditampilkan dalam karakter So Yong dengan fisiknya adalah sesuatu yang normal, bahkan preferensi seksualitasnya. Secara implisit drama Mr.Queen mengkonstruksi gender pada karakter So Yong sebagai sebuah wacana yang dibentuk. Hal ini sejalan dengan pemikiran Judith Butler dalam teori Queer nya bahwa identitas gender seorang Wanita dan laki-laki tidak dibentuk secara biologis tetapi secara sosial, kultural, dan psikologis. Kata kunci: Serial Drama, Kontruksi Gender, Semiotika Roland Barthes, Teori Queer Film is a communication medium for channeling creative ideas to filmmakers in the world. Apart from having artistic value, films also carry informative, persuasive and entertainment values. Mr. Queen is a Korean drama that will be released in 2021 which tells the story of a body swap or an exchange of souls. Through this research, the researcher aims to describe the gender construction through cinematographic signs in Kim So-yong's character. In analyzing the meaning of song lyrics, the researcher uses Roland Barthes' model of semiotic theory to bring up meaning and Queer theory to explain the gender construction that exists in drama. The results of the research that can be concluded in this study are at the connotative level, So Yong's character in acting and thinking comes from Bong Hwan's perspective as a man. Meanwhile, based on the connotative meaning displayed in the character So Yong with his physique is something normal, even his sexual preference. Implicitly, the drama Mr.Queen constructs gender in So Yong's character as a constructed discourse. This is in line with Judith Butler's thoughts in her Queer theory that the gender identity of a woman and a man is not formed biologically but socially, culturally and psychologically.
