Abstrak

Masalah penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar tematik dan critical thinking peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 8 Metro Timur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model problem based learning dan perbedaan antara penerapan model problem based learning dan pendekatan saintifik terhadap critical thinking peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 8 Metro Timur. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental design dengan desain non-equivalent control group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan non tes. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi linier sederhana dan uji t. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulankan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan model problem based learning dan perbedaan antara penerapan model problem based learning dan pendekatan saintifik terhadap critical thinking peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 8 Metro Timur serta terdapat peningkatan critical thinking peserta didik dengan kriteria “Sedang”. Kata kunci: critical thinking, problem based learning, tematik. The problem with this research is the low thematic learning outcomes and critical thinking of grade V students of SD Negeri 8 Metro Timur. This study aims to determine the effect of using the problem based learning model and the differences between the application of the problem based learning model and the scientific approach to critical thinking of students in class V SD Negeri 8 Metro Timur. The method used in this study is a quasi experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. This study uses a saturated sample technique. The instruments used in this study were test and non-test. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression test and t test. The results of data analysis can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of the problem based learning model and the difference between the application of the problem based learning model and the scientific approach to critical thinking of students in class V SD Negeri 8 Metro Timur and there was an increase in student’s critical thinking with the criteria of “Medium”.
