Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik sosial ekonomi Pemulung di Tempat Akhir Pembuangan Sampah Metro Utara Kota Metro tahun 2022. Populasi dalam penelitian ini 50 pemulung, 1 petugas TPAS, dan 1 Ketua RT 33. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan analisis spasial. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan observasi,, dokumentasi, wawancara dan kuisioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan karakteristik responden di TPAS Karangrejo 1. Umur pemulung produktif penuh dengan persentase 85%. 2. Jumlah tanggungan keluarga pemulung sedikit dengan persentase 88%. 3. Pendidikan terakhir pemulung sekolah dasar dengan persentase 48%. 4. Alur distribusi sampah langsung dijual dengan persentase 82%. 5. Tingkat pendapatan rendah dengan persentase 49% (≤ Rp.1.500.000/bulan). 6. Jam kerja harian pemulung dengan persentase 60% termasuk kategori cukup lama (4-6 jam perhari). 7. Pengalaman/lama bekerja pertahun dengan persentase 52% termasuk kategori pemula (2-4 per tahun). 8. Sebagian besar pemulung memiliki pekerjaan sampingan dengan persentase 50%. 9. Status penguasaan tempat tinggal pemulung memiliki rumah sendiri dengan persentase 46% kemudian daerah asal jumlah pemulung yang berasal dari Lampung timur dengan persentase 32%, Lampung Tengah dengan persentase 10% dan Kota Metro dengan persentase 38%. 10. Jarak tempuh rata-rata pemulung dari tempat tinggal ke TPAS 1-2 km yaitu dengan persentase sebesar 34%. Kata Kunci : Pemulung di TPA, Umur, Jumlah Tanggungan Keluarga, Alur Distribusi Sampah, Pendidikan, Pendapatan, Jam Kerja Harian, Lama Bekerja (Tahun), Pekerjaan Sampingan, Status Penguasaan Tempat Tinggal dan Jarak. This study aims to describe the socio-economic characteristics of landfill waste pickers at North Metro Metro City in 2022. The population this study was 50 landfill waste pickers, 1 operator, and 1 Neighbourhood of 33. Descriptive research method with spatial analysis. Data collection is using observation, documentation, interviews and questionnaires. The results showed that the majority of respondents in Karangrejo or the majority of landfill waste pickers were fully productive with a percentage of 85%. The number of dependents of landfill waste pickers families is small with a percentage of 88%. The last education of a landfill waste pickers is elementary school with a percentage of 48%. The waste distribution channel is directly sold with a percentage of 82%. Low income level with the percentage of 49% (≤ IDR 1,500,000/month). The daily working hours of landfill waste pickers with a percentage of 60% are quite long (4-6 hours per day). Experience/years of work per year with a percentage of 52% is included in the novice category (2-4 per year). Most of the landfill waste pickers have side jobs with a percentage of 50%. The status of residence of landfill waste pickers is having their own house with a percentage of 46%, then the area of origin of the number of landfill waste pickers comes from East Lampung with a percentage of 32%, Central Lampung with a percentage of 10% and Metro City with a percentage of 38%. The average distance for landfill waste pickers from their residence to TPAS is 1-2 km, with a percentage of 34%.
