Abstract
The problem of this research is the low participation rate of the elderly voters with a percentage of 47% which, if it can be overcome, can boost vote acquisition. The purpose of this study is to find out the strategy of the Pringsewu Regency General Election Commissions in overcoming and improving the atmosphere of elderly voters to take part in elections, especially the 2024 general election in Pringsewu Regency. The theory used in the analysis of this study is Chandler's strategy (in Salusu 2015: 64) is a step taken by individuals and organizations to achieve the desired goals by taking stepssuch as determining long-term formulations, using a series of actions to be taken, and resource allocation. Researchers used a type of qualitative descriptive method with interview, editing, and observation data collection techniques. The results of the study concluded that the strategy of the general election commission for Pringsewu Regency was still unable to overcome the problem of the lack of participation rate of elderly voters from of the three indicators that the researcher presents and compares to the long-term formulation, the selection of a series of actions, and the allocation of resources that have only just begun, namely the long-term formulation in the strategy process carried out to increase the participation of elderly voters, the other two indicators cannot be carried out resulting in the strategy not working well . Penelitian ini berangkat dengan kondisi rendahnya tingkat partisipasi masyarakat pemilih lansia dengan persentase 47% yang sebenarnya jika bisa diatasi dapat mendongrank perolehan suara. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui strategi Komisi Pemilihan Umum kabupaten Pringsewu dalam mengatasi dan meningkatkan partisipasi pemilih lansia untuk ikut andil dalam pemilu khususnya pemilihan umum 2024 di Kabupaten Pringsewu. Peneliti menggunakan jenis metode deskriptif kualitatif denganTeknik pengumpulan data wawancara, editing, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa strategi komisi pemilihan umum Kabupaten Pringsewu Masih belum bisa mengatasi permasalahan kurangnya tingkat partisipasi pemilih lansia dari ketiga indikator yang peneliti saji dan sandingkan formulasi jangka Panjang, pemilihan serangkaian Tindakan, dan alokasi sumber daya yang hanya baru berjalan yaitu formulasi jangka panjang dalam proses strategi yang dilakukan untuk meningktkan partisipasi pemilih lansia dua indikator lainnya belum bisa dijalankan mengakibatkan strategi tidak berjalan dengan baik.
