ABSTRAK The purpose of this study was to assess the difference in net income of the insurance sector SOEs (State Owned Enterprise) with net profit pr ivate insurance sector. The samples in this study are reported net income of state and private companies 5 years 2008 - 2013. Analysis using different test by using SPSS 17.0. The methods used are Group Statistic and Independent Sample Test, t test an f test two population variance are equal (homogeneous) with the f test value 0,361. Partiallly state - owned enterprise and private enterprise have an average net profit of the same (not different) with the t test value of 0,297. Average net profit Insurance secto r SOEs 0,972960 T and the average net income of the private insurance sector 0,848040 T. Keywords: SOE Net Income, Net Profit Private, Different Test, SPSS ABSTRACT Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat perbedaan laba bersih perusahaan sektor asuransi BUMN (Badan Usaha Milik Negara) den gan laba bersih perusahaan sektor asuransi swasta. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah laporan laba bersih dari 5 perusahaan BUMN dan Swasta tahun 2008 – 2013. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Uji Beda dengn menggunakan SPSS 17.0. Metode yang digunakan U ji G roup Statistic dan Independent Sample Test, uji t dan uji f. Kedua varians populasi adalah sama (homogen) dengan nilai Uji F 0,361, secara parsial perusahaan BUMN dan Swasta memiliki rata - rata laba bersihyang sama (tidak berbeda) dengan nilai uji t sebesar 0,297. Rata - rata laba bersih perusahaan sektor Asuransi BUMN 0,972960 triliun dan rata - rata laba bersih perusahaan sektor Asuransi Swasta 0,848040 triliun.
