Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Komunikasi dapat diamati dalam sebuah interaksi profesi, dalam hal ini peneliti akan memfokuskan pada profesi fotografi. Terdapat minimal dua orang yang berinteraksi, yaitu antara fotografer dan modelnya. Melalui penelitian ini, peneliti bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peranan komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal wedding photographer dalam menghasilkan foto yang baik dalam proses pemotretan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif-kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui proses wawancara dan observasi. Selanjutnya analisis hasil penelitian juga didasari pada teori interaksi simbolik di mana melihat pesan-pesan antarpribadi yang terjadi antara fotografer dengan modelnya. Hasil penelitian yang dapat disimpulkan adalah bahwa penggunaan komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal yang baik memiliki peranan penting dalam sebuah proses pemotretan sehingga perlu dimiliki oleh seorang fotografer. Komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal ini berperan untuk menciptakan dan membangun sebuah hubungan yang baik antara fotografer dan klien sehingga muncul rasa nyaman dan suasana pemotretan yang menyenangkan. Selain itu, komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal perlu dilakukan secara bersamaan untuk memudahkan fotografer dalam memberikan arah dalam sebuah proses pemotretan sehingga hasil yang diperoleh dapat sesuai dengan tujuan pemotretan. Penerapan komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal yang baik juga dapat meminimalisir terjadinya hambatan komunikasi yang terjadi. Kata kunci: Fotografi, Komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal, Interaksi Simbolik, Wedding Photography Communication can be observed in a professional interaction, in this case the researcher will focus on the photography profession. There will be at least two people interacting, namely the photographer and the model. Through this research, the researcher aims to describe the role of verbal and nonverbal communication wedding photographers in producing good photos in the shooting process. To obtain the results and objectives of the research, the researcher will focus research on the process of using verbal and nonverbal communication in the process of photographing weddings that researchers obtain through interviews and observations. Furthermore, the analysis of the research results is also based on the theory of symbolic interaction in which looking at the interpersonal messages that occur between the photographer and the model, symbolic interactionist theory contributes to explaining how the process of interpersonal communication at the message stage occurs in the process of taking pictures. The research results that can be concluded are that Communication is important and needs to be mastered well by a photographer. This communication serves to create and build a good relationship between the photographer and the client so that the client/model feels comfortable and has a pleasant shooting atmosphere. In addition, verbal and nonverbal communication need to be carried out simultaneously to make it easier for the photographer to give directions and convey input in a shooting process so that the results obtained can satisfy both the photographer and the client/model.
