Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah perhatian orang tua dan motivasi belajar keterkaitanya dengan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik di kelas IV SD Muhammadiyah Kecamatan Metro Pusat Kota Metro. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan yang signifikan antara perhatian orang tua dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika. Jenis penelitian yaitu ex- postfacto korelasi. Populasi berjumlah 234 orang peserta didik dan sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 149 orang peserta didik. Instrumen pengumpul data berupa angket dengan skala Likert, yang sebelumnya diuji validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis data menggunakan korelasi product moment. Terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara perhatian orang tua dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik ditunjukkan dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,74 berada pada taraf “Kuat”. Peserta didik yang mendapat perhatian orang tua yang tinggi menunjukan semangat dan termotivasi untuk giat belajar dan sebaliknya, peserta didik yang kurang mendapatkan perhatian orang tua cenderung sekedar mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran. Kata kunci: hasil belajar matematika, motivasi belajar, perhatian orang tua The problem in this research is the attention of parents and learning motivation related to the learning outcomes of mathematics students in class IV Muhammadiyah, Central Metro District, Metro City. This study aims to determine a significant relationship between parental attention and learning motivation with mathematics learning outcomes. This type of research is ex-post facto correlation. The population is 234 students and the sample used is 149 students. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire with a Likert scale, which was previously tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis uses product moment correlation. Based on the analysis carried out by the research results, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between parental attention and learning motivation with students' mathematics learning outcomes indicated by a correlation coefficient of 0.74 at the "Strong" level.
