Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
The objectives of the research are : (1) to find out the development of CLT-based learning media in teaching speaking ability, (2) to find out whether using CLTbased learning media in teaching speaking has effects that improve students' speaking ability, (3) and to find out in what aspect of speaking, learning media contributes more in improving students' speaking ability. The results of this study show that the development of media is designed in an interesting way and do not make students feel bored in understanding English material. There is a significant improvement in students’ speaking ability after the students are taught by using CLT-based learning media. Before the treatment, the minimum score is 20 and maximum score is 80, and the mean is 60.00. After the treatment, the minimum score is 85 and maximum score is 100, and the mean is 81.47. The significant value of the paired sample t-test is 0.000 which is lower than 0.05, the t-table was 8.166 with a probability/significance level of 0.000. Of the five aspects, the highest is comprehension and the lowest is grammar. In the context of teaching and learning, the use of CLT-based learning media media can make the students more active and easy to understand all of the materials in the class, so this learning strategy is appropriate to increase the students’ speaking ability.
