Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah proses pembelajaran IPA yang masih berpusat pada pendidik sehingga peserta didik menjadi pasif dan Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) yang dimiliki peserta didik belum tampak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan metode eksperimen pada mata pelajaran IPA terhadap keterampilan proses sains peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri 4 Metro Utara. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode pre-experimental designs. Populasi berjumlah 45 peserta didik kelas IV. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 22 peserta didik kelas IV B. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah observasi. Instrumen pengumpulan data yaitu menggunakan lembar observasi KPS yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli pakar. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu Fhitung > Ftabel. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan metode eksperimen pada mata pelaaran IPA terhadap keterampilan proses sains peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri 4 Metro Utara. Kata Kunci: keterampilan proses sains, metode eksperimen The problem in this research was that the science learning process is still centered on educators therefore students become passive and the students' Science Process Skills (KPS) have not emerged. This study aims to determine whether there is a significant effect by application of the experimental method in science subject on the science process skills of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 4 Metro Utara. This type of research was a quantitative research with pre-experimental designs method. The population of this research was 45 of fourth grade students. The research sample was 22 of fourth grade B students . The data collection technique in this study was observation. Furthermore, KPS observation sheets that have been validated by experts was used as the data collection instrument. The results of this study were Fcount > Ftable. These results showed that there is a significant effect of the application of the experimental method in science subjects on the science process skills of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 4 Metro Utara.
