Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of using waste from manufacture bromelain enzymes in the form of flour on ration consumption, body weight gain, and conversion of chicken rations aged 0--8 weeks. The method in this study used a unidirectional pattern Complete Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments for the use of bromelain enzyme manufacturing waste (0%,1%, and 2%) with 6 tests. The research material used was joper chickens aged 1 day with an average weight of 36.03 ± 1.49 g / head with a diversity coefficient of 4.21% without separation of males and females and waste from making bromelin enzymes. Each experimental unit consists of 4 chickens, so that the total number of chickens used is 72. The waste from manufacture bromelain enzymes used is obtained from PT Bromelain Enzyme, Central Lampung . The results of the variety analysis show that waste from manufacture bromelain enzymes has no effect on ration consumption, body weight gain, and ration conversion. Keywords: Joper chicken, Waste from manufacture of bromelain enzyme, Ration consumption, Weight gain, Ration conversion Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan limbah dari pembuatan enzim bromelin dalam bentuk tepung terhadap konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan, dan konversi ransum ayam joper umur 0--8 minggu. Metode pada penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola searah yang terdiri dari 3 perlakuan penggunaan limbah pembuatan enzim bromelin (0%,1%, dan 2%) dengan 6 ulangan. Materi penelitian yang digunakan yaitu ayam joper umur 1 hari dengan rata–rata bobot 36,03 ± 1,49 g/ekor dengan koefisien keragaman 4,21% tanpa pemisahan jantan dan betina dan limbah dari pembuatan enzim bromelin. Setiap satuan percobaan terdiri atas 4 ekor ayam, sehingga total ayam yang digunakan sebanyak 72 ekor. Limbah pembuatan enzim bromelin yang digunakan diperoleh dari PT Bromelain Enzyme, Lampung Tengah. Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa limbah dari pembuatan enzim bromelin tidak berpengaruh terhadap konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan, dan konversi ransum.
