Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan pernikahan usia muda di Kecamatan Negeri Katon Kabupaten Pesawaran. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah pelaku nikah muda yang berjumlah 76 jiwa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tabel presentase sebagai dasar interpretasi dan dideskripsikan sebagai laporan penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Tingkat pendidikan orang tua pelaku nikah muda di Kecamatan Negeri Katon tergolong rendah, yaitu sebanyak 57 orang atau sebesar 75% orang tua pelaku nikah muda tamat SD, (2) Tingkat pendidikan pelaku nikah muda di Kecamatan Negeri Katon tergolong rendah, yaitu sebanyak 35 orang atau sebesar 46,05% pelaku nikah muda tamat SMP, (3) Tingkat pendapatan orang tua pelaku nikah muda di Kecamatan Negeri Katon tergolong rendah, yaitu sebanyak 67 orang atau sebesar 88,16% pendapatan orang tua pelaku nikah muda masih di bawah UMK Kabupaten Pesawaran, (4) Alasan lingkungan pertemanan menjadi faktor penyebab pernikahan usia muda di Kecamatan Negeri Katon tergolong tinggi, yaitu sebanyak 31 orang atau sebesar 40,79% beralasan menikah pada usia muda karena faktor lingkungan pertemanan. Kata Kunci : faktor penyebab, pernikahan, usia muda ABSTRACT The study aims to examine the factors that lead to young marriages in Negeri Katon District, Pesawaran Regency. The method used in this study is quantitative research. The population in this study were 76 young marriage actors. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis in this study uses a percentage table as a basis for interpretation and is described as a research report. The results of this study indicate that (1) the educational level of the parents of the perpetrators of young marriage in Negeri Katon District is relatively low, namely as many as 57 people or 75% of the parents of those who marry young have graduated from elementary school, (2) The education level of perpetrators of young marriages in Negeri Katon District is relatively low, namely as many as 35 people or 46.05% of perpetrators of young marriages have graduated from junior high school, (3) The income level of parents who marry young in Negeri Katon District is low, namely as many as 67 people or 88.16% of the income of parents who marry young is still below the UMK of Pesawaran Regency, (4) The reason for the friendship environment is a factor causing marriage The young age in Negeri Katon District is relatively high, namely as many as 31 people or 40.79% reasoned that they married at a young age due to environmental factors of friendship.
