Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi Exemplary Leadership kepala SMP Global Madani Bandar Lampung yang terdiri atas lima sub-fokus, yaitu model the way, inspire a shared vision, challenge the process, enable others to act dan encourage the heart. Masing – masing subs-fokus memiliki komitmen dan contoh tindakan – tindakan yang dapat dilaksanakan oleh seorang pemimpin. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Sumber data dari penelitian ini berjumlah 6 orang dengan keyinforman Kepala Sekolah. Teknis analisis data dilakukan dengan cara pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian bahwa sub-fokus yang paling sering dilaksanakan oleh kepala SMP Global Madani Bandarlampung adalah model the way, inspire a shared vision enable others to act diikuti oleh encourage the heart. Domain yang perlu ditingkatkan implementasinya adalah challenge the process. Kata kunci: kepala sekolah, kepemimpinan, exemplary leadership ABSTRACT This study aims to describe exemplary leadership implementation of SMP Global Madani principal on his exemplary leadership practices that consist of five subsfocus: model the way, inspire a shared vision, challenge the process, enable others to act and encourage the heart. Each subs-focus has its commitments and examples of action for a leader to carry out. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study. Data collection techniques using interviews, observasion and document study. Sources of data from this study amounted to people with key informants the principal. Data analysis techniques were carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and drawing congclusions. The result reveal the subs-focus often carried out by the principal of SMP Global Madani Bandarlampung are model the way, inspire a shared vision enable others to act, and encourage the heart. The subs-focus that need to be more practiced is challenge the process. Keywords: principal, leadership, exemplary leadership
