ABSTRAK STRATEGI KOMUNIKASI ANTARPRIBADI GURU DAN SANTRI UNTUK MEMBENTUK KARAKTER ISLAMI SANTRI DI TPA BAITURROHMAN KECAMATAN SUKABUMI KOTA BANDAR LAMPUNG Permasalahan krisis moral yang melanda generasi muda di Indonesia dibuktikan dengan banyaknya kasus remaja seperti tawuran, perilaku bully dan perilaku menyimpang lainnya. Rendahnya karakter anak juga disebabkan karena kecanduan gadget dan media sosial. Solusi untuk mengatasi kerusakan moral agar tidak terjadi pada generasi selanjutnya adalah dengan pembentukan karakter islami pada anak sejak dini. Para orang tua memilih TPA sebagai tempat guna membekali anak mereka dengan pembelajaran akhlaqul karimah. Tujuan penelitian ini guna mengetahui strategi komunikasi antarpribadi yang dilakukan guru untuk membentuk karakter islami santri di TPA Baiturrohman Kecamatan Sukabumi Kota Bandar Lampung. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif yaitu dengan cara menganalisis data, mengolah data, mendeskripsikan data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh data bahwa strategi komunikasi antarpribadi yang dilakukan guru untuk membentuk karakter islami santri dilakukan pada saat santri diperintahkan maju ke depan kelas, urdhoh individu dan mengatasi santri yang bermasalah di kelas. Guru menggunakan strategi kendali komunikasi yaitu strategi wortel teruntai, pedang tergantung dan katalisator. Kemudian strategi yang dilakukan untuk membentuk karakter islami melalui pendekatan komunikasi antarpribadi yaitu pendekatan informatif, persuasif dan instruktif. Adapun karakter islami santri yang dibentuk melalui strategi komunikasi antarpribadi adalah jujur, taat, disiplin dan rajin beribadah yang dilakukan melalui komunikasi verbal dan non verbal. Komunikasi verbal dinilai cukup optimal, karena strategi ini paling sering dilakukan oleh guru . Sedangkan komunikasi non verbal belum optimal dilakukan, karena masih terdapat beberapa guru yang belum konsisten memberikan contoh baik kepada santri. Low character is also caused by an addiction to gadgets and social media. The solution to overcome moral damage so that it does not occur in the next generation is to establish Islamic character in children from an early age. Parents chose TPA as a place to equip their children with akhlaqul karimah's learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the communication strategy between individuals that was carried out by the teacher to form the Islamic character of students at TPA Baiturrohman District, Sukabumi City, and Bandar Lampung City. In this study, it used the case study method with a qualitative descriptive approach, namely by analyzing data, processing data, describing data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study were obtained from data showing that the communication strategy carried out by teachers to form the Islamic character of students was carried out when students were ordered to advance in front of the class, urdhoh individuals, and overcome problematic students in class. Teachers use the communication control strategy, which is stranded carrots, swords depending, and catalysts. Then the strategy carried out to form Islamic character through an interpersonal communication approach is an informative, persuasive, and destructive approach. The Islamic character of students who are formed through an interpersonal communication strategy is honest, obedient, disciplined, and diligent in worship, which is carried out through verbal and non- verbal communication. Verbal communication is considered quite optimal because this strategy is most often used by teachers. Meanwhile, non-verbal communication is not optimal because there are still several teachers who have not consistently provided good examples to students.
