Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan diplomatik antara UEA dan Israel sebelum maupun sesudah normalisasi hubungan serta betujuan untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai kepentingan nasional Uni Emirat Arab terhadap Israel dengan menggunakan teori kepentingan nasional Thomas W. Robinson dan konsep normalisasi hubungan diplomatik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif, untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai apa saja kepentingan yang dimiliki UEA terhadap Israel dalam peristiwa normalisasi hubungan antara UEA dan Israel serta bagaimana hubungan antar negara baik sebelum maupun sesudah terjadinya normalisasi. Dengan menggunakan teknik studi literatur, berbagai sumber data, utamanya dari laman resmi pemerintah UEA, Israel, serta sumber data terkait lainnya, dianalisis dengan metode content analysis. Data tersebut kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik reduksi dan triangulasi data. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara UEA dan Israel sebelum terjadinya normalisasi tidak banyak terlihat, hal ini dikarenakan kedua negara tidak memiliki hubungan diplomatik sebelumnya. Meskipun demikian, antara UEA dan Israel memiliki beberapa kerja sama dibidang ekonomi dan energi terbarukan. Setelah normalisasi hubungan disetujui, dari hasil penelitian tercatat bahwa hubungan antara UEA dan Israel meningkat di berbagai sektor seperti ekonomi, diplomatik dan lain sebagainya. Dari penelitian ini juga diketahui bahwa setidaknya terdapat 3 aspek utama dari kepentingan UEA terhadap Israel yaitu aspek keamanan (keinginan untuk mendapatkan akses terhadap persenjataan canggih yang dimiliki Israel dan sekutu), aspek politik dan stabilitas kawasan (keinginan untuk meningkatkan citra UEA di mata dunia), serta aspek ekonomi (keinginan untuk menjalin kerja sama ekonomi bersama Israel dan negara-negara sekutu). Kata kunci: Kepentingan Nasional, UEA, Israel, Normalisasi Hubungan Diplomatik. This study aims to find out how the diplomatic relations between the UAE and Israel were before and after the normalization of relations and to describe the United Arab Emirates' national interests towards Israel by using Thomas W. Robinson's theory of national interests and the concept of normalizing diplomatic relations. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis to describe what interests the UAE has towards Israel in the normalization of relations between the UAE and Israel and how relations between countries were before and after normalization occurred. By using literature study techniques, various data sources, mainly from the official websites of the UAE government, Israel, and other related data sources, were analyzed using the content analysis method. The data was then analyzed using data reduction and triangulation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the relationship between the UAE and Israel before normalization took place was not very visible because the two countries had no diplomatic realations. Nonetheless, the UAE and Israel have some cooperation in the fields of economy and renewable energy. After the normalization of relations was approved, research results noted that relations between the UAE and Israel had improved in various sectors such as the economy, diplomacy, security, health, and so on. From this research, it is also known that at least there are three main aspects of the UAE's interest in Israel: security aspects (the desire to gain access to sophisticated weapons owned by Israel and its allies), political aspects and regional stability (the desire to improve the UAE‟s image in the eyes of the world), and economic aspects (the desire to ebtablish economic cooperation with Israel and allied countries).
