Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Pada Tahun 1985, Pusat Latihan Gajah didirikan dan tahun 2022 PLG membuat konsep baru dengan merubah nama menjadi Pusat Lektur Gajah bertujuan untuk mengurangi konflik antara gajah dengan manusia, penyelamatan satwa, dan transportasi dalam kegiatan mendukung pengendalian kebakaran hutan. Oleh karena itu dilakukan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sejarah, fungsi utama sesuai dengan peraturan, persepsi masyarakat dan pihak pihak terkait sebagai upaya pengembangan pengelolaan yang berkelanjutan di Pusat Lektur Gajah. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Mei-Juni 2023. Lokasi pengumpulan data terletak pada Pusat Lektur Gajah, Taman Nasional Way Kambas, Kecamatan Labuhan Ratu, Lampung Timur. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan Teknik wawancara dan observasi lapangan yang kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan skala likert. Tahun 1985 PLG didirikan, pada tahun 2014- 2016 penutupan sementara untuk pemulihan kembali yang dikarenakan wabah Elephant Endotheliotropic Herpes Virus (EEHV). Pada tahun 2016-2019 TNWK menyelenggarakan Festival Way Kambas, tahun 2019 wisata alam PLG ditutup sementara yang disebabkan pandemi Covid-19, Tahun 2021 PLG akan membuka kembali wisata alamnya dengan konsep baru, Tahun 2022 Nama Pusat Latihan Gajah diubah menjadi Pusat Lektur Gajah. Pusat Lektur Gajah memiliki peraturan dalam pengelolaan dan wisata alam yaitu Peraturan Menteri Kehutanan Nomor P.31/Menhut-II/2012, Peraturan Menteri Kehutanan Nomor P.37/Menhut-II/2014 dan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 12 Tahun 2014. Konsep baru wisata alam berbasis konservasi tetap menggunakan konsep pengelolaan animal welfare. PLG bekerjasama dengan KTH, Mitra, dan masyarakat desa penyangga untuk menaikan ekonomi lokal pada masyarakat. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan, Pusat Lektur Gajah, Pengelolaan Berkelanjutan In the 1985, the Elephant Training Center was established and in 2022 PLG created a new concept by changing its name to the Elephant Lecture Center with the aim of reducing conflict between elephants and humans, saving animals, and transportation in supporting forest fire control activities. Therefore, this research was carried out to find out the history, main functions according to regulations, public perceptions and related parties as an effort to develop sustainable management at the Elephant Lecture Center. The research was conducted in May- June 2023. The data collection location was located at the Elephant Literature Center, Way Kambas National Park, Labuhan Ratu District, East Lampung. The data collection method in this study used interview techniques and field observations which were then analyzed descriptively qualitatively using a Likert scale. PLG was established in 1985, in 2014-2016 it was temporarily closed for recovery due to an outbreak of Elephant Endotheliotropic Herpes Virus (EEHV). In 2016-2019 the WKNP held the Way Kambas Festival, in 2019 the PLG nature tourism was temporarily closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2021 the PLG will reopen its natural tourism with a new concept, in 2022 the name of the Elephant Training Center was changed to the Elephant Lecture Center. The Elephant Lecture Center has regulations in management and nature tourism, namely Minister of Forestry Regulation Number P.31/Menhut-II/2012, Minister of Forestry Regulation Number P.37/Menhut-II/2014 and Government Regulation Number 12 of 2014. A new concept of nature tourism conservation-based still using the concept of animal welfare management. PLG works with KTH, Partners, and buffer village communities to increase the local economy in the community. Keywords: Development, Elephent Lecture Center, Sustainable Management
