Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

This study aims to determine the effect of self-confidence on French speaking skills.This research is a descriptive quantitative research conducted at SMA N 16 Bandarlampung using three types of research instruments namely questionnaires,tests and observations. Through the calculation of Pearson product moment correlation analysis, it is known that self-confidence can affect students' speaking ability. The value obtained is the calculated t value of 2.25 while the t table value is 1.699. Therefore, it can be concluded that t count ˃ t table and states that the hypothesis in this study is accepted. The amount of influence given from the self�confidence variable to the French speaking ability variable is 13%, this is obtained through the calculation of the Coefficient of Determination formula.
