Abstract

Masalah penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan sosial keluarga dengan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal siswa SMA Pangudi Luhur Bandar Lampung. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif korelasional. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu 66 siswa dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampel total dikarenakan jumlah populasi di bawah 100. Alat pengumpulan data menggunakan skala dukungan sosial keluarga dan skala komunikasi interpersonal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara dukungan sosial keluarga dengan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal siswa yang ditunjukkan dengan r hitung 0,721 > r tabel 0,204 yang berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Kesimpulannya terdapat hubungan yang positif antara dukungan sosial keluarga dengan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal siswa SMA Pangudi Luhur Bandar Lampung, sehingga semakin tinggi dukungan sosial keluarga yang didapatkan siswa maka semakin tinggi pula kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal siswa. Kata kunci: bimbingan konseling, komunikasi interpersonal, dukungan instrumental The problem of this research is the low interpersonal communication skills of students. This study aims to determine the relationship between family social support and interpersonal communication skills of Pangudi Luhur Bandar Lampung high school students. The method used in this research is quantitative correlation. The number of samples in this study were 66 students with sampling techniques using total samples because the population was below 100. Data collection tools use family social support scale and interpersonal communication scale. The results showed that there is a relationship between family social support and students' interpersonal communication skills as indicated by r count 0.721> r table 0.204 which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. In conclusion, there is a positive relationship between family social support and interpersonal communication skills of Pangudi Luhur Bandar Lampung High School students, so that the higher the family social support obtained by students, the higher the students' interpersonal communication skills.
