Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Lampung menduduki posisi kelima sebagai provinsi terbanyak pengirim Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI) ke negara penempatan. Melihat posisi tersebut, tentu semakin besar pula resiko PMI mengalami masalah di luar negeri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui permasalahan yang dihadapi PMI di luar negeri, mengetahui prosedur pelaporan, mengetahui hambatan yang dialami dalam proses pelaporan ataupun penanganan, dan meninjau peran BP3MI Lampung sebagai pemerintah terkait dalam penanganan PMI bermasalah atau terkendala. Metode yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Penentuan informan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu ada 5 informan terpilih. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dipakai yaitu observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian terkait permasalahan yang dialami PMI ketika bekerja di luar negeri mulai dari korban TPPO, kecelakaan kerja, sakit, bahkan meninggal dunia. Selanjutnya prosedur pelaporan dilakukan dengan menghubungi pihak-pihak yang berwenang, seperti KBRI, KJRI, BP2MI, BP3MI, ataupun disnaker negara penempatan. Terkait hambatan yang dialami dalam proses pelaporan ataupun penanganan yaitu kurangnya pengetahuan PMI untuk membuat laporan, BP3MI Lampung terkendala jumlah anggaran, dan masih kurang maksimalnya hubungan koordinasi antar dinas ataupun lembaga. Terakhir terkait peran BP3MI Lampung dalam penanganan kasus PMI adalah memberikan fasilitas sesuai kebutuhan PMI, diantaranya memfasilitasi proses pemulangan, membantu klaim asuransi, pendampingan hukum, dan pengantaran jenazah ke rumah duka. This study aims to determine the problems faced by migrant workers abroad, know the reporting procedures, find out the obstacles experienced in the reporting or handling process, and review the role of BP3MI Lampung as a related government in handling problematic or constrained migrant workers. The method used is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Determination of informants using purposive sampling techniques, namely there are 5 selected informants. The data collection techniques used are observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. The results of research related to the problems experienced by migrant workers while working abroad ranging from trafficking victims, work accidents, illness, and even death. Furthermore, the reporting procedure is carried out by contacting the competent parties, such as the KBRI, KJRI, BP2MI, BP3MI, or the disnaker of the placement country. Regarding the obstacles experienced in the reporting or handling process, namely the lack of knowledge of PMI to make reports, BP3MI Lampung is constrained by the amount of budget, and the lack of maximum coordination relations between departments or institutions. Finally, related to the role of BP3MI Lampung in handling PMI cases is to provide facilities according to PMI's needs, including facilitating the repatriation process, assisting insurance claims, legal assistance, and delivering the body to the funeral home.
