Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perlindungan hukum atas kekayaan intelektual (hak merek) terhadap produk olahan umkm di kota Bandar Lampung. Dimana para pihak UMKM masih belum banyak yang mendaftarkan hak kekayaan intelektual atau hak merek. Salah satu upaya agar para pihak UMKM mendaftarkanhak kekayaan intelektual atau hak mereknya adalah mengacu pada Undang-UndangNo. 20 Tahun 2016 Tentang Merek dan Indikasi Geografis. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) Bagaimana perlindungan hukum atashak kekayaan intelektual (hak merek) terhadap produk olahan umkm di kota Bandar Lampung? (2) Apakah faktor-faktor yang menjadi penghambat dalam penerapan perlindungan hak kekayaan intelektual (hak merek) terhadap pendaftaran produk olahan umkm di kota Bandar Lampung?. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian normatif, yaitu penelitian hukum yang dilakukan dengan cara meneliti bahanpustaka atau data sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upaya dalam memberikan perlindungan merek terhadap industri UMKM adalah dengan cara mendaftarkan merek UMKM ke Direktorat Jenderal Hak Kekayaan Intelektual. Kemudian terdapat cara-cara yang lain, yaitu biaya registrasi merek UMKM yang lebih murah dibandingkan merek nonUMKM, kerjasama antara Ditjen KI Kementerian Hukum dan Ham dengan Kementerian Koperasi dan UMKM, pemberian insentif pembiayaan pendaftaran merek UMKM, dan pendaftaran merek kolektif industri UMKM. Kata Kunci : Perlindungan Hukum, Hak Kekayaan Intelektual, UMKM This research aims to determine the legal protection of intellectual property (brand rights) for processed products from MSMEs in Bandar Lampung City. Where MSME parties still do not register intellectual property rights or trademark rights. One attempt o get MSMEs to register their intellectual property rights or brand rights isto refer to Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 20 of 2016 on Trademarks and Geographical Indications. The problems in this research are: (1) How is the legal protection for intellectual property rights (brand rights) for processed products from MSMEs in the city of Bandar Lampung? (2) What are the factors that become obstacles in implementing the protection of intellectual property rights (brand rights) for the registration of MSME processed products in the city of Bandar Lampung?. This type of research is normative research, namely legal research carried out by examining library materials or secondary data. The research results show that efforts to provide brand protection to the MSME industry are by registering MSME brands with the Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights. Then there are other methods, namely MSME brand registration costs which are cheaper than non-MSME brands, collaboration between the Directorate General of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSME, providing financing incentives for MSME brand registration, and collective brand registration of the MSME industry.
