Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

This research aimed to find out whether there is any significant improvement in students’ writing analytical exposition text before and after being taught through short movie. The population of this research was the second grade students of SMAN 15 Bandar Lampung. The sample of this research was class of XI 5 which consisted of 28 students. This research was quantitative. One group of pre-test and post-test designs was used in this research. The instruments used in this research were writing test. The data were taken from the test and they were analyzed by using Paired Sample T-Test. The result of this research showed there is a significant improvement of students’ writing skills of analytical exposition text after the implementation of short movie since the result of the research showed that the mean score of pre-tests is 63.79 and the post-test is 74.36. The results of t-value (17.860) is higher than t-table (2.052) and the value of two-tailed significance is 0.000 < 0.05. It showed that the hypothesis is accepted that is, there is a significant improvement of students’ writing ability after the use of short movie. To sum up, using short story can be helpful to improve the students‘ writing ability. Keywords: Short Movie, Writing skill, Analytical Exposition Text
