In this research, zeolite-A was synthesized from rice husk silica and food-grade aluminum foil through a hydrothermal method for 72 hours at a temperature of 100 oC, followed by calcination at 550 oC for 6 hours. The obtained zeolite-A was characterized using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Fourier Transform InfraRed (FTIR), Particle Size Analyzer (PSA), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET). The transesterification reaction of crude palm oil (CPO) with methanol, aided by the zeolite-A catalyst, was conducted using the reflux method to produce biodiesel. The optimum conditions for the transesterification reaction were evaluated using Response Surface Methodology (RSM) with a 3-level factorial design, observing variables affecting the percentage of biodiesel conversion, such as the variation in the amount of catalyst (5%, 7.5%, and 10%), methanol to oil ratio (3:1, 4.5:1, and 6:1), and reaction time (5, 6, and 7 hours). The results showed that the optimum conditions were obtained with 9.1% catalyst usage, a methanol to oil ratio of 5.9:1, and a reaction time of 6.9 hours, yielding a conversion rate of 77.8%. The mixture of methyl esters in the transesterification product under optimum conditions was confirmed using GC- MS techniques, with the main components being methyl palmitate (46.97%) methyl oleate (35.34%). Keywords: Zeolite-A, transesterification, RSM, biodiesel, CPO Dalam penelitian ini telah dilakukan, sintesis zeolit-A dari bahan baku silika sekam padi dan aluminium foil food grade melalui metode hidrotermal selama 72 jam pada suhu 100 oC, kemudian dikalsinasi pada suhu 550 oC selama 6 jam. Zeolit-A yang diperoleh, dikarakterisasi menggunakan X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Fourier Transform InfraRed (FTIR), Particle Size Analyzer (PSA), dan Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET). Reaksi transesterifikasi crude palm oil (CPO) terhadap metanol dengan bantuan katalis zeolit-A dalam menghasilkan biodiesel menggunakan metode refluks. Pada kondisi optimum reaksi transesterifikasi dievaluasi melalui Response Surface Methodology (RSM) menggunakan 3 level factorial yaitu pada pengamatan variabel yang mempengaruhi persen konversi biodiesel seperti variasi jumlah katalis (5%; 7.5 %; dan 10 %), nisbah metanol terhadap minyak (3:1, 4.5:1, dan 6:1), dan waktu reaksi (5, 6, dan 7 jam). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kondisi optimum diperoleh pada penggunaan katalis sebanyak 9.1%, nisbah metanol terhadap minyak 5.9:1, dan waktu reaksi 6.9 jam dengan hasil konversi sebesar 77.8 %. Campuran metil ester dalam produk transesterifikasi pada kondisi optimum telah terkonfirmasi dengan teknik GC-MS, dengan diperoleh komponen utamanya yaitu metil palmitat (46.97%) dan metil oleat sebesar (35.34%).
