Permasalahan munculnya penyalahgunaan wewenang di provinsi Lampung ini mengakibatkan terlambatnya bentuk pemerintahan yang Good Governance. Munculnya kasus-kasus penyalahgunaan yang masih sering terjadi ini dapat merugikan anggaran provinsi dan juga kemajuan nya. Oleh karena itu, dibentuklah suatu organisasi pemerintahan yang berwenang untuk melaksanakan kegiatan pengawasan internal yakni Inspektorat Provinsi Lampung. Peranan Inspektorat Provinsi Lampung sangat penting sehingga menarik peneliti untuk melihat kinerja yang sudah dilakukan oleh Inspektorat Provinsi Lampung. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif dengan teknik deskriptif melalui wawancara, observasi dan juga dokumentasi. Penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan teori Mahsun yakni teori kinerja dengan empat indikator kinerja yakni kelompok masukan (Input), kelompok proses (process), kelompok luaran (output) dan kelompok hasil (outcome). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja Inspektorat Provinsi Lampung dalam mengurangi penyalahgunaan wewenang belum optimal. Berdasarkan empat indikator kinerja, Inspektorat Provinsi Lampung mengalami kendala, terutama dalam sumber daya manusia. Salah satu penyebabnya yakni kurangnya jumlah SDM, yang mana dari segi kuantitas, hanya terdapat 13 aparatur khusus yang menangani kasus dan memiliki sertifikat diklat dari total 162 aparatur yang ada di Inspektorat. Meskipun dari sisi kualitas Inspektorat sudah memenuhi kompetensi dengan jumlah aparatur berpendidikan hingga jenjang strata 2 (S2) yang lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan jenjang strata 1 (S1), kekurangan SDM dari segi kuantitas tetap menjadi masalah utama. Oleh karena itu peneliti memberikan saran yakni melakukan upaya peningkatan kualitas dan mengoptimalisasikan hasil pengawasan yang lebih baik, salah satu cara yakni dengan meningkatkan SDM melalui pelatihan diklat aparatur. The emergence of cases of abuse that still occur frequently can harm the provincial budget and also its progress. Therefore, a government organization was formed with the authority to carry out internal supervision activities, namely the Lampung Provincial Inspectorate. The role of the Lampung provincial Inspectorate is very important so it is interesting for researchers to look at the performance that has been carried out by the Lampung provincial Inspectorate. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with descriptive techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. This research was analyzed using Mahsun's theory, namely performance theory with four performance indicators, namely input group, process group, output group and outcome group. The research results show that the performance of the Lampung Province Inspectorate in reducing abuse of authority is not optimal. Based on four performance indicators, the Lampung Provincial Inspectorate experienced problems, especially in human resources. One of the causes is the lack of human resources, where in terms of quantity, there are only 13 special officers who handle cases and have training certificates out of a total of 162 officers in the Inspectorate. Even though in terms of quality the Inspectorate has met competency with a greater number of officers educated up to strata 2 (S2) level compared to strata 1 (S1) level, the lack of human resources in terms of quantity remains a major problem. Therefore, researchers provide suggestions, namely making efforts to improve quality and optimize better supervision results, one way is by improving human resources through apparatus training and training.
