Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan culture shock (gegar budaya) dengan penyesuaian diri mahasiswa rantau dari pulau Jawa (Studi Pada Mahasiswa Perantau Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Lampung Di Kota Bandar Lampung). Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi pearson product moment dengan bantuan program SPSS 25.0. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 68 orang yang merupakan mahasiswa aktif FISIP Universitas Lampung angkatan 2020, 2021, dan 2022 yang berasal dari pulau Jawa. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala culture shock (gegar budaya) dan skala penyesuaian diri dengan model skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata tingkat culture shock (gegar budaya) mahasiswa berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase sebesar 69,1% dengan frekuensi sebanyak 47 orang. Sedangkan rata-rata penyesuaian diri berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase sebesar 54,4% dengan frekuensi sebanyak 37 orang. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan taraf signifikansi 0.027 < 0.05 artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara variabel culture shock (gegar budaya) dengan penyesuaian diri. Selain itu, diperoleh angka koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,267 artinya kekuatan hubungannya lemah dan terdapat hubungan yang positif antara culture shock (gegar budaya) dengan penyesuaian diri. Hasil hubungan positif menunjukkan semakin tinggi tingkat culture shock (gegar budaya) pada mahasiswa rantau FISIP Universitas Lampung dari Pulau Jawa maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat penyesuaian dirinya. Kata Kunci : Culture Shock (Gegar Budaya), Penyesuaian Diri, Mahasiswa Rantau This study aims to determine relationship between culture shock and self adjustment of overseas students from the island of java (study of overseas student faculty of social and political sciences, Lampung University, in Bandar Lampung city). The approach in this study uses quantitative methods with Pearson product moment correlation techniques. The sample in this study amounted to 68 people. Which is overseas student in faculty of social and political science batch 2020, 2021, and 2022 from java island. Data collection in this study uses culture shock Scale and Self-Adjustment Scale with Likert scale models. The research results were analyzed by Pearson correlation test with the help of the SPSS 25.0 program. The results of the research showed that the average level of culture shock in student was in the moderate category with a percentage of 69,1% with a frequency of 47 people. While the average self adjustment is in the medium category with a percentage of 54,4% with frequency of 37 people. The result of hypothesis test showed a significance level of 0.027<0.05, which means that there is significant relationship between the variabel of culture shock and self-adjustment. Apart from that, a correlation coefficient of 0.267 was obtained, meaning that the strength of the relationship is weak and there is a positive relationship between culture shock and self-adjustment. The results of the positive relationship show that the higher the level of culture shock in overseas FISIP University of Lampung students from Java Island, the higher their level of self-adjustment.
