ABSTRACT THE SYSTEM COMMUNICATION OF SOCIAL COUNSELOR WITH CHILD CLIENT AT THE OFFICE OF SOCIALIZATION OF THE SECOND GRADE A IN BANDAR LAMPUNG TO WARDS DEVELOPMENT OF PERSONALITY Oleh EKA YUHA KUSUMAWATI The office of socialization is an institution which take in the childrens who have problems with the law. In this institution is implemented a development by social counselor to child client with a purpuse to develop pesonality child to be more better so that they will not repeat to do act break the law in the future. In this development process, social counselor apply opened communication system. The formulation of the problem in this research are: (1) How is the assembling of communication system social counselor with child client at the socialization office of the second grade A in Bandar Lampung ? (2) How is the development of child client personality at the socialization office of the second grade A in Bandar Lampung ? The purpose of this research are: (1) To analyze the assembling of communication system of social counselor with child client at the socialization office of the second grade A in Bandar Lampung (2) To analyze the development of child client personality at the socialization office of the second grade A in Bandar Lampung. The type of research which is used is qualitative, by taking five informant which consist of two social counselors, one subdivition of child client, and two child clients. The data collection was done by doing interview and documentation. The further data was analized qualitatively with the stage of data reduction, display and verivication (making conlution). The result of this research showed/ indicated that: (1) the assemblingof communication system by social counselor at the socialization office of the grade A in Bandar Lampung include: a) The used of massage (language) by social counselor which appropriated with level of education, child age and the back ground of criminal act child did, b)The social counselor listen the things which were delivered by child client patiently as well gave good responds, c) The social counselor don’t consider child in the wrong position as did act which break the law, d) The social counselor always want to cooeperate and discuss a problem by using discussionand asking-answering methode to child, e) Yhe social counselor not always dominased situation, that is to give chaniles to child to deliver their opinions or to ask question, f) The social counselor are ready for having feed back communication, that is to develop two direction of communication with child so thah both parties can be ask massage deliver as well as receive deliver, g) The social counselor consider that the many people’s opinions are more than one, that’s ask the opinions from child to discuss guindace material/ lesson which will be delivered to child client (2) The assembling of communication system of social counselor relates with the child client personality at the socialization office of the second grade A in Bandar Lampung, by have formed the child’s self concept who realize that the acts in the past is wrong and willing to improve their selves in the future and conviction of child to can be accepted by their family an society when they are free. The characters of child individu and consistent is presence charging of child character become better and consistency of child/ child’s consistency to keep behave well.
