Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Melalui analisis kompetensi profesional guru geografi pada SMA Negeri dan Swasta di Kabupaten Pringsewu tahun 2014 diharapkan dapat diketahui kompetensi profesional: (1) Penguasaan materi, (2) pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan, (3) pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, (4) penguasaan standar kompetensi/kompetensi inti dan kompetensi dasar dan (5) pengembangan materi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian populasi yaitu seluruh guru geografi sebanyak 25 guru geografi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan teknik tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan presentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kompetensi profesional yang dimiliki oleh guru geografi dalam masih kurang, dengan indikator sebagai berikut: (1) sebagian besar guru geografi sudah memiliki kemampuan penguasaan materi dengan kriteria cukup, (2) sebagian besar guru memiliki kemampuan pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan dengan kriteria kurang, (3) sebagian besar guru geografi memiliki kemampuan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dengan kriteria cukup, (4) sebagian besar guru geografi memiliki kemampuan penguasaan standar kompetensi/kompetensi inti dan standar kompetensi dengan kriteria kurang, (5) sebagian besar guru geografi memiliki kemampuan pengembangan materi dengan kriteria kurang. Kata Kunci: Kompetensi Profesional, Guru Geografi, SMA Negeri dan Swasta. The analysis of professional competency geography teachers in public and private high school in district pringsewu 2014 is expected to know professional competency: (1) the materials comprehension, (2) sustainable professional development, (3) the utilization of information technology and communication , (4) the control of standard competence/core competence and basic competence and (5) the development of materials. This research used descriptive method. The population of this research was 25 geography teaccher. Data collecting technique of this research was conducted by using test technique, observation and documentation. The Technique of analysis data used a percentage. The results of research showed professional competency geography teacher have low criteria, with indicator : (1) the most of geography teacher have the ability of materials comprehension with enough criteria, (2) the most of geography teacher in sustainable professional development with less criteria, (3) the most of geography teacher have the ability of utilization of information technology and communication with enough criteria, (4) the most of geography teacher have the ability of mastering standard of competence and the core competence of the core and standards of competence with less criteria, (5) the most of geography teacher have the ability of the development of material with less criteria.
