Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis pada pembelajaran matematika peserta didik kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan perbedaan diterapkannya model problem based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis pada pembelajaran matematika peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 10 Metro Timur. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah pre-experiment design dengan one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas 5 yang berjumlah 31 peserta didik. Penentuan sampel penelitian ini menggunakan nonprobability sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik tes dan non tes berupa soal pretest-posttest serta observasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji regresi linier sederhana dan uji-t. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penerapan model problem based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis pada pembelajaran matematika kelas V SD dan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada penerapan model problem based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis pada pembelajaran matematika kelas V SD. Kata kunci: kemampuan berpikir kritis, problem based learning The problem in this study is the low level of critical thinking skills in mathematics learning of grade V elementary school students. This study aims to determine the effect and difference of applying the problem-based learning model on critical thinking skills in mathematics learning for fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 10 Metro Timur. The method in this research is a pre-experiment design with one group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study was all 5th grade students totaling 31 students. Determination of the sample of this study using nonprobability sampling. Data collection techniques in this study used test and non-test techniques in the form of pretest-posttest questions and observations. The data analysis used is a simple linear regression test and t-test. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant effect on the application of the problem- based learning model on critical thinking skills in grade V elementary school mathematics learning and there is a significant difference in the application of the problem-based learning model on critical thinking skills in grade V elementary school mathematics learning.
