Background: Geriatric patients often experience polypharmacy due to multimorbidity. That is a factor that increases the risk of inappropriate medication use or potentially inappropriate prescribing (PIP), which can lead to serious health issues. The Beers Criteria is one of the guidelines used to identify PIP events in geriatric patients. This study aims to evaluate the occurrence of PIP in geriatric patients using the Beers Criteria. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The study subjects were the medical records of geriatric patients at the inpatient installation of RSD Dr. A. Dadi Tjokrodipo for the period of January – June 2023, totaling 76 subjects. This study employed univariate and bivariate analyses. Results: Geriatric patients at the inpatient installation of RSD Dr. A. Dadi Tjokrodipo for the period of January – June 2023 were predominantly male with 48 (63.2%) patients, aged group 60 – 69 years with 45 (59.2%) patients, and receiving ≥ 5 types of medications with 74 (97.4%) patients. The incidence of PIP was found in 26 (34.2%) patients. Bivariate analysis of the association between the number of medication uses and the occurrence of PIP yielded a p-value of 1.000. Conclusion: There is no association between the number of medication uses and the occurrence of PIP in geriatric patients at the inpatient installation of RSD Dr. A. Dadi Tjokrodipo. Keywords: Beers Criteria, Geriatric, Polypharmacy, PIP Latar Belakang: Pasien geriatri sering kali mengalami polifarmasi yang disebabkan oleh multimorbiditas. Hal ini merupakan faktor yang meningkatkan risiko terjadinya penggunaan obat yang tidak tepat atau potentially inappropriate prescribing (PIP) yang dapat menyebabkan masalah kesehatan yang serius. Kriteria Beers adalah salah satu panduan yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi kejadian PIP pada pasien geriatri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kejadian PIP pada pasien geriatri menggunakan kriteria Beers. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel berupa purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian adalah rekam medik pasien geriatri di instalasi rawat inap RSD Dr. A. Dadi Tjokrodipo periode Januari – Juni tahun 2023 sebanyak 76 subjek. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis univariat dan analisis bivariat. Hasil: Pasien geriatri di instalasi rawat inap RSD Dr. A. Dadi Tjokrodipo periode Januari – Juni tahun 2023 paling banyak adalah laki-laki sebanyak 48 (63.2%) pasien, kelompok usia 60 – 69 tahun sebanyak 45 (59.2%) pasien, dan mendapatkan ≥ 5 jenis obat sebanyak 74 (97.4%) pasien. Kejadian PIP sebanyak 26 (34.2%) pasien. Analisis bivariat hubungan jumlah penggunaan obat terhadap kejadian PIP didapatkan p value sebesar 1.000. Simpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan antara jumlah penggunaan obat terhadap kejadian PIP pada pasien geriatri di instalasi rawat inap RSD Dr. A. Dadi Tjokrodipo.
