Abstract
ABSTRACT MONEY POLITIC IN GENERAL ELECTION 2014 (Case Study in Pekon Gunung Kemala, Way Krui Regency, Pesisir Barat District) By Ardi Yuzka Money politic is a deviation act from campaign by giving some money to sympatizer or other community so that those who have given some money are able to follow the interest person. Money politic in general election 2014 caused by low economic background of society, The forms of money politic were food, media promotion and public facilities in the community and impacted on object political exploitation of those who had an authority. The aim of this research was to determine and describe the money politic in General Election 2014 Pekon Gunung Kemala, Way Krui Regency Pesisir Barat District through three aspects namely the caused of money politic, the form of money politic, and impact of money politic. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative, data collecting technic used in this study was based on interviews. This research focused on money politics in General Election 2014 Pekon Gunung Kemala, Way Krui Regency Pesisir Barat District. The results of this research can be concluded that money politic in general election 2014 Pekon Gunung Kemala, Way Krui Regency Pesisir Barat District were : generally money politic caused by low economic background of the people that allowed the people received the gift and promises given by legislative candidate and the public perception that the right to vote was a valuable asset to anyone who want to spend a commensurate cost. The forms of money politic were food, media promotion and public facilities in the community conducted by legislative candidates given to the voters directly. The impact of money politic in the general election was not pure the voting of the people to the legislative candidates and impacted on education, which in turn clog the mobilization of political participation. In this process, society was an object political exploitation of those who had an authority Keywords: Money politics, General Elections ABSTRAK POLITIK UANG DALAM PEMILIHAN UMUM 2014 (STUDI PADA PEKON GUNUNG KEMALA KECAMATAN WAY KRUI KABUPATEN PESISIR BARAT) Oleh ARDI YUZKA Money politic atau politik uang merupakan tindakan penyimpangan dari kampanye yang bentuknya dengan cara memberikan uang kepada simpatisan ataupun masyarakat lainnya agar mereka yang telah mendapatkan uang itu agar mengikuti keinginan orang yang memliki kepentingan tersebut. Politik uang pada pemilu 2014 secara umum disebabkan oleh latar belakang ekonomi masyarakat yang masih rendah, bentuk politik uang berupa pemberian sembako, media promosi dan fasilitas umum pada masyarakat serta berdampak pada objek eksploitasi politik pihak yang memiliki kekuasaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menggambarkan politik uang dalam Pemilihan Umum 2014 di Pekon Gunung Kemala Kecamatan Way Krui Kabupaten Pesisir Barat melalui tiga aspek yaitu Penyebab politik uang, bentuk politik uang, dan dampak politik uang. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif yang dideskriptifkan, teknik pengumpulan data berdasarkan wawancara. Adapun fokus penelitian ini berfokus pada politik uang dalam Pemilihan Umum 2014 di Pekon Gunung Kemala Kecamatan Way Krui Kabupaten Pesisir Barat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa politik uang dalam Pemilihan Umum 2014 di Pekon Gunung Kemala Kecamatan Way Krui Kabupaten Pesisir sebagai berikut: Secara umum penyebab politik uang adalah latar belakang ekonomi masyarakat yang masih rendah yang memudahkan masyarakat menerima pemberian dan janji yang diberikan oleh calon anggota legislatif serta adanya anggapan masyarakat bahwa hak pilih merupakan aset yang berharga sehingga siapapun yang menginginkannya harus mengeluarkan biaya yang sepadan. Bentuk politik uang berupa pemberian sembako, media promosi dan fasilitas umum pada masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh calon anggota legislatif untuk memberikan langsung kepada masyarakat pemilih.Dampak politik uang dalam Pemilihan Umum adalah tidak murninya suara dari aspirasi masyarakat yang masuk terhadap salah satu calon anggota legislatif dan berimbas pada pendidikan politik, yaitu mobilisasi yang pada gilirannya menyumbat partisipasi politik. Rakyat dalam proses seperti ini tetap menjadi objek eksploitasi politik pihak yang memiliki kekuasaan. Kata Kunci :Politik Uang, Pemilihan Umum
