Salah satu strategi yang dapat dilakukan oleh instansi terkait khususnya yang mengelola pajak di Kabupaten Pesisir Barat adalah dengan cara melakukan upaya- upaya terobosan dalam mengoptimalisasi pemungutan pajak hotel . Dengan adanya strategi yang di bentuk untuk meningkatkan penerimaan pajak hotel di Kabupaten Pesisir Barat maka diharapkan dapat menggali potensi sumber-sumber penerimaan Pajak serta dapat mengidentifikasi permasalahan yang selama ini terjadi berkaitan dengan pajak daerah sehingga dapat dilakukan estimasi dan proyeksi dari masing-masing pajak yang pada gilirannya dapat disusun kebijakan pemerintah untuk meningkatkan yang pada akhirnya bermuara pada peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat Kabupaten Pesisir Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif dengan analisa data kualitatif. Dengan menggunakan teori Jack Kooten (1991) tentang tipe-tipe strategi yaitu 1) Corporate Strategy, 2) Program Strategy, 3) Resource Support Strategy, (4) Institusional Strategy peneliti mendapatkan hasil bahwa strategi yang diterapkan oleh BAPENDA merupakan tipe strategi Resource Support Strategy dikarenakan banyak dari strategi yang di rancang oleh BAPENDA berada pada tipe strategi Resource Support Strategi Kata Kunci: Strategi, Peningkatan Penerimaan, Pajak Hotel. One of the strategies that can be carried out by related agencies, especially those that manage taxes in West Pesisir Regency, is by making breakthrough efforts in optimizing hotel tax collection. With the strategy formed to increase hotel tax revenue in West Pesisir Regency, it is hoped that it can explore the potential sources of tax revenue and can identify problems that have occurred related to local taxes so that estimates and projections of each tax can be made which in turn can be prepared by government policies to improve which ultimately leads to an increase in the welfare of the people of West Pesisir Regency. This research uses a descriptive research approach with qualitative data analysis. By using Jack Kooten's (1991) theory of strategy types, namely 1) Corporate Strategy, 2) Program Strategy, 3) Resource Support Strategy, (4) Institutional Strategy, the researcher found that the strategy implemented by BAPENDA is a type of Resource Support Strategy strategy because many of the strategies designed by BAPENDA are in the Resource Support Strategy type.
