Abstrak

Abstrak Bahasa Indonesia EFEKTIVITAS EKSTRAK DAUN JAMBU BIJI MERAH (Psidium guajava Linn) SEBAGAI INSEKTISIDA Aedes aegypti DALAM SEDIAAN AEROSOL Oleh Pratiwi Wulandari Latar Belakang : Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) merupakan penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh virus dengue yang ditularkan ke manusia melalui gigitan nyamuk Aedes aegypti. Untuk mencegah penularan virus diperlukan pengendalian vektor. Pengendalian vektor menggunakan insektisida sintetis secara berulang dapat menyebabkan keracunan dan resistensi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan insektisida nabati yang ramah lingkungan. Daun jambu biji merah diduga memiliki efek insektisida dengan kandungan senyawa aktif seperti alkaloid, saponin, tanin, minyak atsiri, flavonoid, fenol, lignan dan sterol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki efektivitas ekstrak daun jambu biji merah (Psidium guajava Linn) sebagai Insektisida Aedes aegypti dalam sediaan aerosol. Metode : Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Zoologi, Jurusan Biologi dan Laboratorium Kimia, Jurusan Kimia FMIPA Universitas Lampung pada bulan Oktober sampai dengan Desember 2014. Penelitian menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 kelompok perlakuan pada setiap kelompok berisi 50 nyamuk Aedes aegypti betina dewasa dan dilakukan 3 kali pengulangan yaitu konsentrasi ekstrak daun jambu biji merah (Psidium guajava Linn) 0%, 22,5%, 45%, dan 90% dengan Transflutrin sebagai kontrol positif. Data yang diperoleh diuji menggunakan One Way Anova dan post hoc untuk mengetahui perbedaan pada setiap konsentrasi. Hasil : pada konsentrasi 90% kelumpuhan dan kematian nyamuk mencapai 20%, sedangkan kontrol positif mencapai 96,67%. Pada uji One Way Anova dan post hoc didapatkan perbedaan yang bermakna pada setiap konsentrasi (p<0,05). Pada uji probit didapatkan LC50 sebesar 7,529% dan LC90 sebesar 19,942%. Knockdown Time konsentrasi 90% didapatkan KT50 327217,921 menit dan KT95 720717128222531,900 menit.Hasil tersebut menunjukkan ekstrak daun jambu biji merah tidak memiliki efektivitas insektisida terhadap Aedes aegypti. Kata kunci : ekstrak daun jambu biji merah, Aedes aegypti, insektisida Abstract Bahasa Inggris EFFECTIVENESS OF GUAJAVA LEAF EKSTRACT (Psidium guajava Linn) AS Aedes aegypti INSECTICIDE IN AEROSOL PREPARATION By Pratiwi Wulandari Background : Dengue hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by the dengue virus is transmitted through the bite of Aedes aegypti. To prevent transmission of the virus required vector control. Vector control used by synthetic insecticide can cause toxicity and resistance. Therefore, necessary environmentally friendly bioinsecticide. Red guajava leaves suspected to insecticide effect with content of active compounds like alkaloid, saponin, tanin, minyak atsiri, flavonoid, fenol, lignan and sterol. This study aims to investigate effectiveness of guajava leaf ekstract (Psidium guajava Linn) as Aedes aegypti insecticide in aerosol preparation. Methods : The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Zoology, Department of Biology and Chemistry Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, FMIPA Lampung University in October to December 2014. This research uses Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatment groups, each group containing 50 adult female mosquitoes of Aedes aegypti and 3 times repetitions and then the concentrations of guajava’s leaf ekstract (Psidium guajava Linn) are 0%, 22.5%, 45%, and 90% also transflutrin as a positive control. Data were obtained and tested using One Way Anova test and post hoc test to find out the differences at each concentration. Result : At concentration 90% knock-down and mortality of mosquitoes reached 20%, whereas positive control reached 96.67%. At One Way Anova test and post hoc test find out the differences at each concentration (p<0,05). At probit test were obtained LC50 as big as 7,529% and LC90 as big as 19,942%.
