ABSTRAK Film sebagai konstruksi, menampilkan sebuah isu dalam realitas masyarakat yang diciptakan oleh sutradara, produser, mau pun rumah produksi untuk menyebarluaskan pemikiran, ideologi, atau pandangan kelompok kepada khalayak. Disney sebagai layanan video streaming sekaligus rumah produksi film paling diminati di Indonesia tampak sarat akan menampilkan nilai-nilai woke culture yang salah satunya adalah menggagaskan kaum minoritas LGBT melalui karakter-karakter filmnya. Melalui penelitian ini, peneliti bertujuan untuk menganalisis serta menjelaskan bagaimana Disney mengonstruksi LGBT dalam bingkai media film. Metode yang peneliti gunakan adalah studi kepustakaan yang dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan data berupa dokumen audio visual. Dalam melakukan proses analisis data penelitian, peneliti menggunakan analisis semiotika Christian Metz untuk mengelompokkan setiap adegan serta unsur-unsur sinematik film ke dalam 8 tipe sintagmatik Metz. Peneliti juga menggunakan teori wacana dan kekuasaan Michel Foucault untuk menjelaskan kuasa media sebagai sarana yang menghasilkan, memperkuat, dan menyebarluaskan pengetahuan tentang gender. Hasil yang peneliti peroleh adalah terdapat 8 film Disney yang dirilis dari tahun 2016 hingga 2023 teridentifikasi mengandung pesan-pesan LGBT di dalamnya, yaitu Zootopia (2016), Beauty and The Beast (2017), Onward (2020), Cruella (2021), Raya and The Last Dragon (2021), Turning Red (2022), Strange World (2022) dan Lightyear (2022). Tipe sintagmatik yang banyak digunakan pada film adalah tipe Descriptive Syntagma dan Scene. Kedua tipe tersebut dinilai ideal dan umum digunakan dalam sebuah film untuk menampilkan sebuah rangkaian satu shot atau lebih secara jelas (spesifik) dan teratur, sehingga pesan yang dibawa oleh setiap adegan dalam film dapat tersampaikan dengan baik kepada penonton. Melalui representasi hingga konstruksi LGBT pada karakter-karakter populernya Disney lakukan sebagai salah satu usaha menyuarakan diskriminasi dan ketidakadilan gender serta orientasi seksual. Kata kunci: Konstruksi Film, Semiotika Christian Metz, Wacana dan Kekuasaan Michel Foucault ABSTRACT Film as a construction, displays an issue in a society's reality which is created by directors, producers or production houses to disseminate their thoughts, ideologies or views to the public. Disney, as a video streaming service and the most popular film production house in Indonesia, appears to be full of displays of woke culture values, one of which is promoting LGBT minorities through its film characters. Through this research, the researcher aims to describe and explain how Disney constructs LGBT within the film media frame. The method that researchers use is literature study, namely a method carried out by collecting data in the form of audiovisual documents. In carrying out the research data analysis process, researchers used Christian Metz's semiotic analysis to group each scene and cinematic elements in the film into Metz's 8 syntagmatic types. Researchers also use Michel Foucault's theory of discourse and power to explain the power of the media as a means of producing, strengthening and disseminating knowledge about gender. The results that researchers obtained were that there were 8 Disney films released from 2016 to 2023 identified as containing LGBT messages in them, namely Zootopia (2016), Beauty and The Beast (2017), Onward (2020), Cruella (2021), Raya and The Last Dragon (2021), Turning Red (2022), Strange Word (2022) and Lightyear (2022). The syntagmatic types that are widely used in films are the Descriptive Syntagma and Scene types. These two types are considered ideal and are commonly used in films to display a series of one or more shots clearly (specifically) and regularly, so that the message carried by each scene in the film can be conveyed well to the audience. Through representation and construction of LGBT with its popular characters Disney is doing this as an effort to voice discrimination and injustice regarding gender and sexual orientation.
