Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
This research aimed to determine whether there was a significant improvement in students’ writing achievement in descriptive text after the Jigsaw Technique was implemented. This study used a quantitative approach that utilized a one-group pre- test and post-test design. The population of this research was the first-grade students of SMPN 1 Ketapang in the second semester of the academic year 2024/2025. The research took one class as the sample and it was VIIA, which consisted of 30 students. Writing tests in the pretest and posttest of descriptive text were applied to collect the data. The data were analyzed using a Paired Sample T-test, which determined the significance by p<0.05. The improvement in students’ writing descriptive text achievement is proven by the results of students’ writing scores. The results revealed that the students’ mean score increased from 60.13 on the pre- test to 74.43 on the post-test. The increase is 14.30 from the pretest to the posttest. This difference demonstrates an enhancement following the implementation of the Jigsaw Technique. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Jigsaw Technique can effectively improve students’ writing achievement in descriptive text.
