Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Tujuan dari dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kompetensi sosial guru terhadap pendidikan karakter peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Pringsewu Kabupaten Pringsewu.Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini Peserta Didik SMA Negeri Pringsewu 2023-2024. Populasi pada penelitian ini berjumlah 354 dan sampel berjumlah 70 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik angket, serta data pendukung melalui wawancara.Berdasarkan hasil dari uji regresi linier sederhana diperoleh hasil sebesar 49,1% pengaruh terhadap pendidikan karakter peserta didik, pengaruh kompetensi sosial guru yang telah berjalan saat ini memberikan efek positif bagi peserta didik agar menjadi warga Negara yang cerdas dan berkarakter mendatang, pengaruh kompetensi sosial guru ini sebagai wadah dalam pembentukan karakter berupa prilaku jujur, perilaku disiplin, dan bertanggung jawab bagi peserta didik dan 50,9% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain diluar kompetensi sosial guru. Kata kunci: Kompetensi sosial Guru, Karakter, Peserta Didik The aim of this research is to determine the social competence of teachers in character education for class The subjects in this research were Pringsewu State High School students 2023-2024. The population in this study was 354 and the sample was 70 respondents. The data collection technique uses basic techniques in the form of questionnaires, as well as supporting data through interviews. Based on the results of the simple linear regression test, the results obtained were 49.1% of the influence on the character education of students, the influence of teacher social competence which is currently running has a positive effect on participants students to become intelligent and characterful future citizens, the influence of teachers' social competence as a forum for character formation in the form of honest behavior, disciplined behavior and responsibility for students and the remaining 50.9% is influenced by other factors outside of teachers' social competence.
