Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

The purpose of this research was to find out whether there is any significant improvement of students’ reading comprehension in narrative text through the use of picture series. The subjects were 32 students of class X 2 at SMAN 14 Bandar Lampung. This research employed a one-group pretest and posttest design. The instruments used in this research was reading comprehension tests (pretest and posttest). The score of the pretest before treatment were compared to those of the posttest after treatment. The result of the research showed that the students’ average progress score of pretest was 71.25 and posttest was 83.56. It means that the improvement of students’ reading comprehension in narrative text after the implementation of picture series reached 12.31 points. Thus, the Paired Sample T- test confirmed the hypothesis proposed by the researcher that there was significant differences in students’ reading comprehension achievement with significant value is .000 and the comparison between t-value and t-table (4.098>2.042). Furthermore, it means that there was a significant improvement of students’ reading achievement after the implementation of picture series.
