Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pengungkapan LST (Lingkungan, Sosial, dan Tata Kelola) dan Keberagaman Gender dalam dewan direksi terhadap kinerja perusahaan sektor industri yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) dari tahun 2020 hingga 2022. Terjadi peningkatan atas pengungkapan LST pada laporan tahunan atau laporan keberlanjutan perusahaan setiap tahunnya. Sementara itu, masih banyak perusahaan yang belum memiliki keberagaman gender pada proporsi dewan direksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengungkapan LST berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja perusahaan, diukur dengan Tobin’s Q. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa keberagaman gender dalam dewan direksi berpengaruh negatif terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan yang lebih transparan dalam pengungkapan LST dan memilih dewan direksi yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan perusahaan cenderung memiliki kinerja yang lebih baik. Kata kunci: Pengungkapan LST, Keberagaman Gender, Kinerja Perusahaan, Tobin’s Q This study is to investigate the impact of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) disclosure and Gender Diversity in the board of directors on the performance of industrial sector businesses listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2020 and 2022. ESG disclosure in the company's annual report or sustainability report has been consistently increasing every year. However, numerous organizations still lack gender diversity in their board of directors. The findings indicate that the disclosure of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors has a beneficial impact on the financial performance of companies, as evaluated by Tobin's Q. Furthermore, this study also discovered that the presence of gender diversity in the board of directors had an adverse impact on firm performance. These findings indicate that organizations that exhibit greater transparency in disclosing their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, and strategically appoint a board of directors that aligns with the specific requirements of the company, likely to achieve superior performance.
