ABSTRACT IMPLEMENTATION BASED LEARNING MEDIA AUDIO VISUAL ON COURSEHISTORY OF INDONESIA CENTURY 16-19 by APRILIA TRI ARISTINA This research aims to implement the audio-visual media-based learning on the course History of Indonesia Ages 16-19, and to determine the effectiveness of the use of audio-visual media-based learning on learning outcomes of a two-semester students / even in the course of history education in comparison with conventional learning in courses the. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with pretest and posttest control group. The population in this study were students of the second semester. Techniques for determining the sample is a simple random sampling and grade obtained even as an experimental class and odd class as the control class. Data collection techniques using the test to determine learning outcomes after application of the use of audio-visual media based learning, test data were analyzed using t-test. Based on the research results can be concluded that the implementation of the teaching of history consists of step (1) preparation, (2) presentation, and (3) follow-up. The effectiveness of audio-visual media-based learning into the criteria being that the index normalized gain of 0:54, while the effectiveness of conventional teaching media included in the criteria being that the index normalized gain of 0.30. Improved learning outcomes with learning media (video) better than using conventional learning media for material entry of Islam in Indonesia in the second semester students / even. Based on t test of the average value of learning outcomes obtained by the Sig. 0.570> 0.05 significance level so that the data variance homogeneous. Test average difference between pretest experimental classes and control classes obtained by the Sig. 0.000 <0.05, significantly different from the stated average difference 6.975. This proves that the audio-visual media based learning effectively to improve student learning outcomes at the material entry of Islam in Indonesia two semesters / even.
