Abstract

Pesawaran Regency is one of the agricultural crop producing areas in Lampung Province. The agricultural crops that are widely developed in Pesawaran Regency consist of fruit crops, food crops and vegetables. Plants that are widely developed into food crop processing industries are bananas, cassava and sweet potatoes. The potential for agricultural crop production provides opportunities for the development of agro-industry for various agricultural commodities. This research was conducted to develop an agricultural crop-based industry in Pesawaran Regency so that it can be developed and generate profits and be sustainable. In this research, mapping was carried out using the ArcGis application to produce land suitability maps and the Analytical Hierarchy Process method (AHP) to find out the most suitable agricultural crop industry. Based on this research, it can be concluded that the commodity with the most potential to be used as an industry in Pesawaran Regency is the banana plant. Judging from the results of the land suitability map using the ArcGis application, it was found that the land suitability class for banana plants was S2 (suitable) while the land suitability class for cassava and sweet potato plants was S3 (less suitable). Then, looking at the results of calculations using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, the final ranking value of banana plants has the highest value compared to cassava plants and sweet potato plants.
