Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi, perbedaan tingkat motivasi belajar siswa, serta kurang bervariasinya penerapan model pembelajaran di kelas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji perbedaan hasil belajar ekonomi antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dan Discovery Learning, dengan memperhatikan tingkat motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan komparatif dan desain faktorial 2x3. Sampel berjumlah 64 siswa kelas XI SMAN 13 Bandar Lampung yang dipilih melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data mencakup observasi, wawancara, eksperimen, tes, angket, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Uji Anava Dua Jalan dan t-test dua sampel independen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam hasil belajar ekonomi antara siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran STAD dibandingkan dengan Discovery Learning, di mana STAD menghasilkan nilai rata-rata yang lebih tinggi. Namun, tidak ditemukan perbedaan signifikan dalam hasil belajar antara siswa dengan motivasi belajar tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Selain itu, tidak terdapat interaksi yang signifikan antara model pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar ekonomi siswa. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa dengan motivasi rendah cenderung lebih rendah pada kedua model pembelajaran. Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar Ekonomi, STAD, Discovery Learning, Motivasi Belajar. This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes in economics, variations in students’ learning motivation, and the lack of diversity in instructional models applied in the classroom. The aim of this study is to examine the differences in economics learning outcomes between students taught using the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model and those taught using the Discovery Learning model, while also considering the students’ level of learning motivation. The research employed an experimental method with a comparative approach and a 2x3 factorial design. The sample consisted of 64 eleventh-grade students at SMAN 13 Bandar Lampung, selected through cluster random sampling. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, experiments, tests, questionnaires, and documentation. Data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA and independent sample t-tests. The results of the study revealed a significant difference in students’ economics learning outcomes between those taught using STAD and those using Discovery Learning, with STAD producing higher average scores. However, no significant differences were found among students with high, medium, or low levels of learning motivation. Furthermore, there was no significant interaction between the instructional model and learning motivation on students’ learning outcomes. Students with low learning motivation tended to achieve lower outcomes in both instructional models. Keywords: Economics Learning Outcomes, STAD, Discovery Learning, Learning Motivation.
