This study examines the impact of tailored music in Suggestopedia on EFL students' speaking skills and anxiety levels, contingent upon their personality types. It tackles four fundamental inquiries: (1) The influence of music-based Suggestopedia on speaking enhancement, (2) its impacts on anxiety alleviation across various personality types, (3) the correlation between diminished anxiety and enhanced speaking skills, and (4) disparities in musical preferences between extroverts and introverts. A pre-experimental approach was employed to evaluate 30 eleventhgrade students from SMAN 1 Seputih Banyak, Central Lampung, utilizing pre- and post-tests alongside anxiety questionnaires. Both personality groups shown significant enhancements in speaking skills—extroverts from 60.82 to 78.47 and introverts increased from 61.69 to 81.38 (p < 0.05)—with no statistically significant difference between the two groups (p = 0.408). Anxiety decreased—extroverts from 82.41 to 64.65 and introverts from 84.08 to 62.69 (p < 0.05)—with no significant group difference (p = 0.409). A robust association was observed between anxiety reduction and speaking enhancement (r = 0.946, p = 0.000). Musical preferences varied marginally: extroverts favored “Intense & Rebellious” genres, introverts inclined towards “Reflective & Complex” forms, although both groups had a similar affinity for “Energetic & Rhythmic” and “Upbeat & Conventional” music. The Pearson Chi-Square test (χ² = 7.602, p = 0.055) indicates a moderately significant association between personality and musical preference. In conclusion, individualized music-based Suggestopedia equally improves both personality types by enhancing speaking skills and alleviating anxiety. Nonetheless, the study's restricted sample size, brief duration, and absence of comparison with standard Suggestopedia constrain more extensive results. Subsequent study ought to encompass larger, more heterogeneous samples, longitudinal tracking, and comparisons with non-customized Suggestopedia, while also investigating cultural influences in music-based learning. Keywords: Suggestopedia, Speaking Skill, Personality Traits, Music Preferences, Language Anxiety
