Kualitas pembelajaran ditentukan oleh pemilihan model yang tidak hanya menyampaikan materi, tetapi juga mendorong motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa. Menjawab tantangan abad ke-21, pendekatan yang mengkombinasikan dua model jigsaw dan problem based learning mampu membuat motivasi belajar terlihat melalui keaktifan, antusiasme, rasa ingin tahu, serta dinilai mampu meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa secara bersamaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan problem based learning dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, (2) mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan problem based learning dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, (3) mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran dengan penerapan kombinasi pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan problem based learning terhadap hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar siswa.Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan efektivitas kombinasi model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan problem based learning terhadap motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian menggunakan pretest and posttest control group design. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket motivasi belajar dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi pembelajaran jigsaw dan problem based learning berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar (nilai sig. = 0,013) dan hasil belajar (nilai sig. = 0,026). Efektivitas pembelajaran juga terlihat dari peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 62,5%, dibandingkan dengan 44,8% pada kelas kontrol. Selisih peningkatan sebesar 17,7% menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi model pembelajaran tersebut lebih efektif dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional. Penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw yang dikombinasikan dengan problem based learning terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil dan motivasi belajar siswa. In response to the challenges of the 21st century, an approach that combines the jigsaw model and problem based learning can enhance learning motivation through active participation, enthusiasm, curiosity, and simultaneously improve students’ cognitive abilities. This study aims to: (1) determine the effect of combining jigsaw type cooperative learning and problem based learning on improving students’ learning achievement, (2) determine the effect of this combination on improving students’ learning motivation, and (3) examine the effectiveness of applying the combination of Jigsaw-type cooperative learning and problem based learning on both learning achievement and motivation.This research is a quasi-experimental study designed to determine the effect and effectiveness of the combination of jigsaw type cooperative learning and problem based learning on students’ learning motivation and achievement. The research design used was the pretest-posttest control group design. Data were collected through a learning motivation questionnaire and a learning achievement test. The analysis results showed that the combination of jigsaw and problem based learning had a significant effect on learning achievement (sig. value = 0.026) and learning motivation (sig. value = 0.013). The effectiveness of learning was also evident from the increase in the average learning achievement in the experimental class by 62.5%, compared to 44.8% in the control class. The difference in improvement of 17.7% indicates that the combination of these learning models is more effective than conventional learning. The application of jigsaw type cooperative learning combined with problem based learning has been proven effective in improving students’ learning achievement and motivation.
