Kabupaten Pesisir Barat memiliki kawasan perlindungan penyu yang di- jadikan sebagai tempat berlangsungnya kegiatan penangkaran penyu, namun ke- giatan tersebut masih dirasa belum cukup untuk memulihkan dan mempertahan- kan populasi penyu di Pesisir Barat. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganali- sis status keberlanjutan penangkaran penyu di KKLD Pesisir Barat dari dimensi ekologi, ekonomi, sosial, teknologi, serta hukum dan kelembagaan; dan juga menganalisis faktor penentu (faktor dominan) terhadap keberlanjutan penangkaran penyu di KKLD Pesisir Barat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 22 Maret – 20 Mei 2023 dengan metode analisis multi dimensional scaling (MDS). Hasil pe- nelitian ini yaitu status keberlanjutan penangkaran penyu di KKLD Pesisir Barat termasuk dalam kategori cukup berkelanjutan dengan nilai indeks rata-rata se- besar 56,75; dan atribut yang mempengaruhi nilai indeks keberlanjutan ditinjau dari dimensi ekologi yaitu predator, pada dimensi ekonomi yaitu kunjungan wisa- tawan, dari dimensi sosial yaitu kerusakan habitat, dari dimensi teknologi yaitu angkutan umum serta dari dimensi hukum dan kelembagaan yaitu sinkronisasi kebijakan dan peran pemerintah/DKP. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rekomendasi kebijakan penangkaran penyu di Kawasan Konservasi Laut Daerah (KKLD) Kabupaten Pesisir Barat. Kata kunci: Penangkaran, Penyu, Pesisir Barat. Pesisir Barat Regency has a turtle sanctuary area that is used as a place for turtle breeding activities, however these activities are still considered insufficient to restore and maintain the sea turtle population in Pesisir Barat. The purpose of this study were to analyze the sustainability status of sea turtle breeding in the Local Marine Conservation Area (LMCA) of Pesisir Barat from the dimensions of ecology, economy, social, technology, as well as law and institutions; and also to analyze the determining factors (dominant factors) on the sustainability of turtle breeding in the Local Marine Conservation Area (LMCA) of Pesisir Barat. This study was conducted on March 22 - May 20, 2023 using the multidimensional scaling (MDS) analysis method. The results of this study were that the sustainabi- lity status of sea turtle breeding in the Local Marine Conservation Area (LMCA) of Pesisir Barat was categorised as the fairly sustainable with an average index value of 56.75. The attributes influencing the sustainability index value from the ecological dimension was predators; from the economic dimension, tourist visits; from the social dimension was habitat damage; from the technological dimension was public transportation; and from the legal and institutional dimensions was synchronization of policies and the role of the government/DKP. This research was expected to be a recommendation for sea turtle breeding policies in the Local Marine Conservation Area (LMCA) of Pesisir Barat Regency.
