Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) di SMP Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbandingan hasil belajar IPS siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Word Square dan Snowball Throwing dengan memperhatikan motivasi belajar di SMP Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan komparatif. Populasi penelitian ini 277 siswa dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 62 siswa yang ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis varian dua jalan dan t-test dua sampel independen. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa : terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPS siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Word Square dibandingkan dengan siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing; terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPS siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi, sedang, dan rendah; ditinjau dari motivasi belajar tinggi, sedang, dan rendah rata-rata hasil belajar IPS menggunakan model pembelajaran Word Square lebih tinggi dibandingan dengan menggunakan model Snowball Throwing. Serta tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap mata pelajaran IPS. Kata Kunci : Hasil Belajar IPS, Motivasi Belajar, Snowball Throwing, Word Square This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in Social Sciences (IPS) at SMP Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung. The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of students' IPS learning outcomes using the Word Square and Snowball Throwing learning models by considering learning motivation at SMP Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a comparative approach. The population of this study was 277 students with a sample size of 62 students determined by the cluster random sampling technique. Hypothesis testing used two-way analysis of variance and two independent sample t-test. The results of the study showed that: there were differences in the IPS learning outcomes of students who used the Word Square learning model compared to students who were taught using the Snowball Throwing learning model; there were differences in the IPS learning outcomes of students who had high, medium, and low learning motivation; in terms of high, medium, and low learning motivation, the average IPS learning outcomes using the Word Square learning model were higher than using the Snowball Throwing model. And there was no interaction between the cooperative learning model and students' learning motivation for the IPS subject.
