Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Bandar Lampung semester genap tahun ajaran 2024/2025 sebanyak 310 siswa yang terdistribusi dalam 10 kelas. Melalui teknik cluster random sampling terpilih kelas VIII-C dan kelas VIII-D sebagai sampel penelitian. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Data yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini berupa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa yang mengikuti model discovery learning lebih tinggi daripada rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, model discovery learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa. Kata kunci: berpikir reflektif matematis, discovery learning, pengaruh This study aims to determine the effect of the discovery learning model on students' mathematical reflective thinking skills. The population in this study is all grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 9 Bandar Lampung in the even semester of the 2024/2025 school year as many as 310 students distributed in 10 classes. Through the cluster random sampling technique, class VIII-C and class VIII-D were selected as research samples. The research design used was a randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The data analyzed in this study is in the form of quantitative data obtained through the test of students' mathematical reflective thinking skills. The results of the data analysis showed that the average improvement in mathematical reflective thinking skills of students who participated the discovery learning model was higher than the average improvement in mathematical reflective thinking skills of students who participated conventional learning. Thus, the discovery learning model affects students' mathematical reflective thinking skills. Keywords: discovery learning, effect, mathematical reflective thinking
